purpleronnie Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Smiths a genius, looks like booing him made no difference, who've thought. Maybe in the quiet of lords he won't do anything.

Chiltern Fox Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Smith seems to cope with pressure better than kohli.

Incredible. I found that hard to believe when I first heard it but apparently he has an average of 140 in ten innings against England, which I guess means the 1000+ runs you mention is actually 1400? Astonishing EDIT: Source - article by Johnathan Agnew on BBC Sport "His unbeaten 46 at Edgbaston on Saturday means across his past 10 innings against England he is averaging 145. Before his self-inflicted absence from Test cricket he was averaging 70 in his past three years of Test cricket."
Chiltern Fox Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Was watching the ind vs wi 20/20 yesterday in Florida. It's amazing..wherever ind play, the fans will follow. I'd expect the same if they played Mongolia...

walkerleeds Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Enjoying Denly here. He's getting a wicket today
leicsmac Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 I've defended Moeen in the past and I think he's a damn good bowler given the correct conditions but today has shown that the captain clearly has zero faith in him being able to deliver in a situation where he should be the prime attacking option - and as such, what good does he do in the team?
EastAnglianFox Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Pretty simple equation now then, we have to bat for a day and a bit to scrape a draw.
StanSP Posted 4 August 2019 Author Posted 4 August 2019 At what point do Australia put England back in to bat, especially considering there's gonna be some rain later?
EastAnglianFox Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Jesus, by the look of some of the players faces it looks like the ashes have gone already
Joefox Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 They’ll put us in to bat for 10 overs this evening. Smith is ridiculous. Must be so frustrating bowling at him Root is not a bad bowler either.
TheSomersetFox Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Jimmy has stitched us up good and proper here tbh. Unless by some miracle we can run through them with the new ball I'd happily take the draw at this point and start again at Lords. Drop Moeen for Leach. Bairstow gets another crack because of his excellent World Cup form.
purpleronnie Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 I should've had a few quid on the aussies when they were 122/8.
Guest Manini Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 I reckon Steve Smith could bat for 5 whole days no problem if he wanted to.
StanSP Posted 4 August 2019 Author Posted 4 August 2019 How did the umpire give that out. Hit halfway up his thigh

yorkie1999 Posted 4 August 2019 Posted 4 August 2019 Once Anderson was out that was it really. It’s like playing with a man down. Let’s see how archer does in the next test
