KrefelderFox666 Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 Australia vs NZ and England vs India semis. Got to be Australia vs England final surely. Unless India can turn up against England. NZ seem to be running out of steam.

David Guiza Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 Boult reminds me of someone and I can't quite place it - possibly Stewart Downing.

It's possible they both honestly believed they were right, although instant player reaction is usually a pretty good indicator as to whether someone's out or not.

EastAnglianFox Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 Not able to check here, what are Buttler's stats like for this World Cup? can't be that great id imagine?
RowlattsFox Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 This is the difficulty in 50 over cricket. Hard to keep on top for all 50, opponents will nearly always have a spell where they pull it back or make in roads. Should still be aiming for 350. These two need to rebuild for a bit.

Only 253 runs in 9 innings (including today). 167 of those runs coming early on against Bangladesh & Pakistan (103 of those being against the former). 4 minutes ago, RowlattsFox said: This is the difficulty in 50 over cricket. It's the advantage of the powerplays for both teams. When you have good openers you go full whack and take as much advantage as you can in the first 10. Happened to us yesterday getting nearly 190 on the board then slowed right down and almost struggled to 300+ total when early on its looking more like 350. I think it makes for much more even matches between sides that are more level on quality.

But its difficult for him sometimes when he bats at 6 (I know he has come in earlier today) Its the way it goes for him though, every now and again he will do something incredible but he can't do it every time.

Could have been more effective in my opinion though, especially last few games.
foxfanazer Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 Damn. From such a good start we're actually gone lose this aren't we
StanSP Posted 3 July 2019 Author Posted 3 July 2019 NZ done well here to really get back in to this game. 300 achievable?
Bobby Hundreds Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 The heat seems to have slowed the pitch down dramatically, would fancy us defending anything around 310.

I think it keeps it open but this should still be a comfortable one for England.
Bert Posted 3 July 2019 Posted 3 July 2019 There’s only been one 300+ successful chase so far in this World Cup. NZ have never chased over 300 in a World Cup. So obviously we all know they’re gonna do it Pitch isn’t doing much though.
