HybridFox Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Disappointing to see empty seats. but happens at any big sporting event, unfortunately they fall to the touts
Finnegan Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 I assume there is something in the rules that states specifically how the bowler can and can't move after he's delivered? I've noticed a few bowlers in this world cup come dubiously close to straight up blocking the batsman trying to run?
foxfanazer Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Great call from the umpire tbf. Looked and sounded like an edge all day long

They're not allowed to go in the middle of the pitch (as in in line between the wickets). If it gets noticed then the umpires will give a couple of warnings. Carry on and they go out of the attack. They can't purposely block the batsman as they run in their follow up.
StanSP Posted 14 July 2019 Author Posted 14 July 2019 Great umpiring by Erasmus for that edge and also a great review from Nicholls! I thought that was plum LBW! Very surprised it was missing.
foxfanazer Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 How accurate is ball tracker? Guessing it's not as bang on as something like hawkeye in tennis
StanSP Posted 14 July 2019 Author Posted 14 July 2019 Guptill taking on Archer! Could be a good battle here! Archer won't like this!
StanSP Posted 14 July 2019 Author Posted 14 July 2019 Just now, foxfanazer said: How accurate is ball tracker? Guessing it's not as bang on as something like hawkeye in tennis Quite reliable I'd say. I guess from our TV angles we don't get the perspective of actual trajectory and tracking of the ball?

RowlattsFox Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Trust Guptil to find something in the final. Cant let him get going too much.

I'm a bit of a fair weather cricket fan, was just interested to know Obviously the main difference being It has to track trajectory and pace etc whereas in tennis it just has to pin point where the ball landed. Thought it bring down the accuracy a touch
StanSP Posted 14 July 2019 Author Posted 14 July 2019 Woakes is finding some good movement. This one is out I think.

RowlattsFox Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Get in. And they've lost the review. Appeal for anything from now on
ScouseFox Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 some of the reviews in this tournament have been even more atrocious than you’d expect. that was about a foot away from his bat and couldn’t have been any more centrally hitting the stumps. just fu cking leave when you’re obviously that far out.
Vacamion Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 What was all this waiting for the DRS review clock to get to 2 seconds each time? It's like bomb disposal in Mission Impossible.
RowlattsFox Posted 14 July 2019 Posted 14 July 2019 Players review hoping it's at least umpires call.

Nicolls didn’t help there and it could be him who loses out come the next close call ....
