According to Sportswitness....

“Lack of respect” – Adrien Silva’s entourage unhappy with Tielemans ‘bargaining chip’ plan

icester City’s summer with Youri Tielemans looked pretty straightforward.

Interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur was claimed, yet as long as the Foxes were ready to pay up, signing the Belgian midfielder on a permanent transfer made sense for all involved.

AS Monaco are keen, Tielemans did well during his loan, and it would be possible to use Adrien Silva as part of the deal.

Despite all of that, it’s July 1st tomorrow and nothing looks imminent, whilst Silva himself hasn’t heard anything from the club about a potential transfer to Monaco or anywhere else.

France’s FootMercato have spoken to the midfielder’s entourage, and they don’t seem too thrilled with the idea he’s simply a commodity to be used in the process to sign someone else.

FootMercato say someone close to the player has told them: “Adrien has a contract with Leicester for two years. He is expected to resume training. We have not heard from the club, but we are respectful of our commitments so we are waiting to talk to them about their position on Adrien.

“We remain attentive to possible proposals, but we had no contact with any club.”

Specifically on the Tielemans claims, they said: “Talking about him as a bargaining chip is a lack of respect for a recognised professional who had a major stake in the title of European Champion of Portugal just three years ago.”

Maybe a little contact from Leicester City wouldn’t be a bad idea at this stage.

Sounds like his entourage would fit in here. Heard nothing from the club but believing every little rumour.

I think ''lack of respect for a recognised professional who had a major stake in the title of European Champion of Portugal just three years ago.” is stretching his contribution a bit.

I hate players with “entourages” (except for Esteban Cambiasso who had an enormous entourage )

Sorry, little confused, but why are we posting Adrian Silva stuff in here?

Because his representatives feel we are using him as a bargaining chip without informing them, which we probably are but they probably want to be cut into any deals to make a bit of extra dosh
