Makes me laugh when I see people on this website do him down whenever we get a shiny new toy. I've seen it with Kramaric, Slimani, Musa and now Daka. Even with bums like Diabate and Gray. Vards always makes them look like fools. Thank God we have a manager who knows his quality and what he needs.

Yep. Nobody will ever come close to touching Vardy, it doesn’t matter how often people say it each time we sign a new striker

He’s set the bar for this club which will never be bettered

Yep. So under appreciated the level Vardy is at.

Only Salah, Henry, Shearer, Kane and Aguero have a better goal scoring ratio than him. It really is extraordinary.

The fact those goals are at Leicester as I opposed to a club who create far more chances is incredible. You could argue only Shearer was at a club which is positionally similar to ourselves

Ian Wright and RVP do too I think?

You can't say this about many players but it has really been an honour and a privilege to see this man play for our club. Easily our best ever and one of the best strikers to grace the Premier league

Rodgers has helped compliment his game no end. Vardy takes all the credit and rightly so as he's a warrior but bar 2 or 3 spells where he's been struggling with an injury he's scored at a breathtaking rate for 2.5 seasons.

The greatest, no contest.

On the flip side I think it's remarkable just how adaptable Vardy has been to continue to score goals in systems that might not necessarily compliment his natural game. I think we've seen him score pretty much every kind of goal you can think of in his time here

To be fair for 3.5 seasons we've won a PL and then Rodgers first 2.5 seasons we were comfortably top 6 form the whole way and he scored a lot of goals as a result.

What he did that year under Puel when he had about 35 shots on target and scored 20 was just ridiculous. Up there with his obvious accolades IMO.

That has to be up there with one of the most incredible spells for Vardy.

Most strikers have a good couple of seasons, then generally get sussed, injured or move to a club who will provide a shed load of money and/or tap ins.

Not Vardy. It is staggering to think that his shot conversion rate still often puts him above most of the top strikers in Europe's top leagues, let alone our own.

He played really well today and could have scored four, however let’s not let it paper over the fact that he is still a shadow of what he was in 2015/16. That might sound brutally harsh but I watched the 2015/16 DVD last night and couldn’t believe how fast and immense he was, or our movement and speed up front.  I thought I truly remembered but if you watch it again you can see as clear as day how much he’s lost comparing the Vardy of then compared to now. That’s not to be disrespectful. Just a fact of ageing. I think he needs a strike partner to get the best out of him. He’s less effective now in the sole striker role. It felt like a front three today.

This is obvious though and he still has 9 in this season 2nd to only a guy whose seen as the greatest in the world right now!

That just shows why it’s clear that if he is doing this well at near 35 AND as you said above(which I agree on) that he’s a shadow of what he was back then..what does that make prime Vards? He is as good as anyone I’ve ever seen. A top 10 prem striker of all time absolutely no doubt about it.

2015-2019 Jamie Vardy would score 20+ every season and win multiple trophies in any of the big clubs in the world.

Hes the biggest reason we’ve won trophies despite competing with juggernauts. Every single time we get a couple of top top players to build a good team, we win leagues abd FA Cups(Kante Tielemens Fofana etc).

90% of his career Hes been playing with utter dross or average at best teams 14/15 16/17-18/19. 4 seasons where he still scored 56 prem goals! It’s unthinkable really.

If he was called Vardyinio and was playing for a big club, he would be talked about right up with Aguero, Shearer, lewandowski  and benzema. Hes as good a number 9 as I’ve ever seen with only a few I’d 100% put above him(Henry and Suarez).

Our greatest ever? It isn’t even a question.

There are some who are still of the mind that Kramaric should've played more than Vardy in the title winning season.

Overtakes Ernie Hine to become the 3rd highest scorer in the club's history (158) and still has an hour left to become only the 2nd Leicester player to score a hat trick against Liverpool.
