Ridiculous stat when you think of other players that have played in the Prem for a lot longer than him (Aguero etc.). Even more impressive is that for a few years of that, we were a mid-table team

Only positive from today is that Salah blanked which means that Vardy’ record is no longer under threat.

This international break will hopefully allow him to recover from the knock he's been carrying. As we've seen in the last few games since, he's a shadow of his former self when not fully fit and that's probably the only thing that age has hindered him. In the past he would have ignored it and still been performing but in recent years his poor spells are almost always when navigating an injury and hopefully with Daka now here we can rest him and let him get back on track quicker in the long run.

 

Another 20 goal haul this season would be phenomenal, he can do it.

He was talking about watching Meslier as a 16-year-old in Leeds academy and said he showed that he had something back then.

 

Unfortunately, Leeds signed him from Lorient at 19!

A few picked it up. I wish they would pick pundits on the back of their knowledge and insight, not just their football career.

The most he ever got was 19.

The weird thing with this is you can't even claim it's a mistake can you really. It's not like he's said the wrong former club or got a statistic wrong, its an outright lie.

We all know Vardy has way more in his locker than Owen gave him credit for, but even if he was just someone who put his foot through it when finishing, if someone got put through on goal 10 times, and scored 8 by putting their laces through it each time, and someone else scored 7 through a variety of finishes, who is the "natural finisher".

Looked to have pulled up a little in the last few minutes today. Hamstring or calf issue? Can see him being rested on Thursday and then score his customary penalty against Watford next week...
