Imagine having a pop at Vardy about how shit we’re doing. Yes we’re struggling to score but how many did he miss today? Biggest problem is keeping the ball out the net. End of.

To add to this, as I’m in agreement, some melts on here think he wants to be out there for 90 min starving, week in week out.

Play anyone else up front, for 60 mins a week and then let him have at it!

He’s not getting the service, however his xG is also way down when he does.

He’s at the end of a brilliant career and if most likely our greatest player of this era, however he needs to call it a day.

But in the championship he still bags double figures.

Oh sorry, nothing meant by it! Me and my best friend lost a bet to ourselves (it’s complicated lol) to have a Vardy tattoo… thinking of where to get it!

Yours looks awesome, and tasteful. Nice work.

Did it hurt :sweating:

Thanks mate, I'm really pleased with it, everyone thinks I'm crazy!

The tattooist warned me it was going to be painful, but it was fine. She pur some white shading in at the end and that was pretty sore, mainly because she was going over a bit that was already done.

I've got about 15, but this was the first I couldn't see being done.

My chest tattoos were incredibly painful, since that, everything has been a breeze.

If he dropped his wages down to about 30/40k he would be an asset in the champ. If he doesn’t then the money would be better off spent elsewhere

If we're going down, he's worth keeping another season (at the right cost). We need someone else to be a regular starter though.

Sir Les did a decent job for us at that level at the same age,  so why not.

It's probably just sentimentalism, but I don't want him going going out like this. :(

Ferdinand didn't play in the Championship did he? Although that probably supports your point a little more

I think Ruud is scared of upsetting him, especially when results are shit. It was easier for Enzo to rotate and rest when we were winning games.

It was easier to rotate as we were in the championship! With iheanacho and daka as back up!

I love Vardy but the longer we keep him the longer it will take to replace him.

His season hasn’t been helped by the dross he has around him and the scraps they try and feed him when they actually try and create.  Since KDH left, no one seems able to thread a forward pass when attacking on a break and the lack of shots on target or in general means no loose balls for him to pounce on.

He should retire at the end of the season - a legend, one of the greatest to ever wear the shirt, he's one of the only ones who I'm willing to give a pass for the shit show of the last few years. The club doesn't deserve any more from him.

Problem for us is Vardy hasn't get the legs any more, he needs players around him with pace, who can do a share of his running.

We lost Fatawu, Mavididi has really struggled.

The we added to players who also can't run in Ayew and BDCR.

I do wished he retired last season, ended on a high. Sadly his last remaining season will be relegation season.

Wife had huge legal bills to pay. Man's got to bring home the bacon to buy her the lifestyle she so desperately deserves.

Sad ending.

It's like a championship boxer who tries to carry on like Muhammad Ali ☹

Probably his last season with us ending with relegation, won't surpass Owen's tally and may not even get to 200 club goals. Sad all round

Extremely sad.

Ruud’s management of him really wind me up too.

Daka was poor yesterday but honestly think the way Enzo rotated last season would have got more out of Vardy this time round.

Him staying on for full 90 minutes so much is criminal from our inept coach.

As I said on another thread, Vardy looked drained of enthusiasm in the last game, it's affecting him as well. He's the only one showing any emotion to the situation in his body language. He cares and he's hurting. He's giving up because of what's around him and his manager has given up. He knows it's over. Pipes mentioned it as well, he looked heartbroken at the end and almost in tears.

It's such a sad way to end your illustrious career with us. This was one season too many in hindsight.

Always a god at this football club and will never be forgotten by us or the footballing world. But this is one too many.

We have gone from - 10 more years, 10 more years Jamie Vardy, 10 more years, 10 more years I say, 10 more years, 10 more years Jamie Vardy, playing football the Enzo way - to:

Just retire, Just retire Jamie Vardy, Just retire, Just retire I say, Just retire, Just retire Jamie Vardy, Top don't deserve you anyway:unsure:

His perfect send off should be, him clapping all the fans around the ground and the fans loving it, then for him to climb the steps, kung fu kick (Cantona Style) Rudkin, come back down and then re-enact every famous celebration he has done. That would be the Jamie Vardy way.
