Jordan Posted 15 May 2019 Posted 15 May 2019 Ricardo just did an interview with Goal France, so you can add speaking French to the many talents of our versatile right back. https://www.goal.com/fr/news/entretien-ricardo-pereira-leicester-incroyable-detre/wz3csf02s90a1m0n7khr574i1 From what I understand, the biggest change for him in the PL was not the physical strength of opposition (as is assumed often by interviewers from continental Europe), but how quickly the game transitions. Ricardo speaks about how much more often a right back or winger will have to defend and attack, and how much more ground they cover in a 15-minute span than in France or Portugal. He also pointed to the more congested fixtures as something else to adjust to. I also found the last exchange interesting: You’re not wondering about leaving this summer, are you? Honestly, I’m not thinking about that because I feel good at Leicester. While it’s true that one never knows what can happen in football, I haven’t discussed this sort of thing with the bosses. Like all players, I dream of playing in the greatest competitions. There will probably be opportunities that come up this summer, and we’ll decide with the club what’s best for everyone. For now, I’ll take advantage of the break by resting and recharging, with my family. But I feel good at Leicester, and for the moment, I’m a Fox. [smiles]

Guest SO1 Posted 15 May 2019 Posted 15 May 2019 He's an exceptional player. Shows how difficult its going to be to hold onto our best players and how hard it is to make the next jump(top six). If he continues at his current rate we'll have him for one more season at most. Just goes to show how important that new training center is. This period of young talent at the club could disappear in the blink of an eye if we can't match ambition(trophies) and cash that the top six can. So important to keep on investing in younger players. Keep building.

Aguerro and Sanchez launched themselves into learning English…. I’d like to think I’d have a stab at picking up the language within 2 years!

DerbyshireFox Posted 18 May 2019 Posted 18 May 2019 Lead news piece on the club website, with the unfortunate position of the text it looks like he’s drooling ?. Thought it was an unfortunate photo to run with at first ?. Salivating at the prospect of next season perhaps!!

Just doesn’t feel overly confident doing it in front of TV. During games he’s speaking to most opposition centre backs
