David Guiza Posted 28 May 2019 Posted 28 May 2019 Inspired by the forthcoming LCFC appearance on Mastermind, I wondered what your specialist subject would be if you found yourself in the infamous chair (assuming that you cannot cover LCFC/Football)? As a generic 90s kid I have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of Friends. I think I'd do well pretty well on Peep Show, Red Dwarf or The Thick of It TV wise too. Ultimately I think I'd go for George Orwell or something specific within Ancient Roman History, maybe Augustus.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 28 May 2019 Posted 28 May 2019 This is going to get confusing (identical thread titles), but my subject would be 21st century boardgames, Discworld novels, 1990s Indie music and the football career of Sergio Hellings.

Yep, I didn't realise it was identical until I'd published it! 29 minutes ago, MattP said: History of the World Cup Joseph Heller novels The life of Michael Portillo Kauto Star in National Hunt racing I think that would be my four rounds on route to being crowned champion I've definitely plotted my route to being Champion before as well . I'd back myself to get a good score on my specialist subject but then it really depends on the general knowledge, I'm very much in the category of knowing a little about a lot so I'd have to hope for a favorable set of questions! 25 minutes ago, Ric Flair said: Auf Wiedersehen Pet Capital Cities What my mates had to eat at school I've now got the theme tune to Auf Wiedersehen Pet in my head. Workin' on the site from morning 'till night, what a hit.

Guest MattP Posted 28 May 2019 Posted 28 May 2019 Capital cities is not an acceptable subject for Mastermind as well - "Historical Capital Cities" maybe.

I've always wanted to go to one of those. Doesn't the guy who plays Big Mad Andy run some sort of Peep Show quiz?
