Blimey, that is sad. I was only reading about him being taken unwell the other day. I'm a little too young for the vast majority of playing career and only really know from the League Cup final onwards, but understand he was a bit of a Steve Walsh type.

Just posted in the deathlist thread. What a ****ing awful year for football this has been. Vichai, Sala, Reyes all killed in tragic accidents, now a young manager in his prime.

Very sad to read. Knew he'd gone to hospital earlier this week but didn't know it was a cardiac arrest.

Only 49 :( RIP.

Remember him for being a solid old school full back at Spurs and that encounter with Savage at Wembley.

Always came across really well in interviews id seen.

Very sad indeed

Horrible news to see, as mentioned, taken way too young. RIP.

Feel for everyone involved at the club having to pick themselves up and go again in a few months.

Realistically they need a replacement in ASAP, but I doubt the board really want to think about it right now.

Can imagine Martin Ling will probably take over the reins in the interim. He's already there as Director of Football and has managed them before.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but think had heard somewhere that he stepped aside away from being football manager due to depression/stress?

Can see it being someone as a player-manager; not that it matters after what happened now, for sure..

Yeah he had some issues. Doubt he'd take it on full term, perhaps just in the interim.
