Kelechi scored his first goal for Sevilla tonight in the Copa del Ray away to the mighty Olot. Always was a cup specialist.

He scored 2 in the first round.

Leicester City title winner Shinji Okazaki now owns and coaches a Japanese club in the lower leagues of German football
Okazaki founded FC Basara Mainz 10 years ago during his time in the Bundesliga to give more opportunities to Japanese players
They began their journey in the 11th tier of the German game, but have since achieved five back-to-back promotions, with Okazaki now in charge

It’s a shame we didn’t have the money (supposedly) and that he prefers the left wing rather than right.

It's a shame that we favoured Barnes over him. If we sold Barnes that summer and bought Lookman we dont go down.

How? Barnes scored 13 goals for us as we went down.

It's just annoying we didn't end up with both. Not one or the other.

Agreed in terms of we should’ve sold Barnes. Would’ve been a smart move from the club

I think we probably do, having Lookman would’ve made very little difference to us as we still had Ward in goal

Scoring/attacking wasn’t an issue for us that season

Defending isn't just the backline. Barnes barely tracked back at all that season and kept losing the ball which exposed our left back who was already struggling.

Most of his goals that season were when we were already winning, often comfortably. The stats behind Barnes's 22/23 season are misleading, if you look at the player ratings and the post match discussions from that season on here there were many matches where Barnes was among our worst performers and didnt offer enough going forward or defensively.

Lookman got a little feature on the BBC about his time with Atalanta.

Honestly the piece is boring as fxxk to me, but might be of interest to someone.  Maybe.

I might bring my Shinji T-shirt out of retirement for a day as a tribute.
