So we've gone back to white shorts this season, thankfully

Why were we playing in blue shorts today?

 

Or was it because stoke shorts are white? surely the tops of so different it's irrelevant?

I think this kit works better as all blue personally. Doesn’t look right having white shorts but hardly any white on the shirt and none on the socks.

Much prefer white shorts!!! Seems to be the minority opinion but that's our traditional kit (and looks better)

Against the grain, but I prefer White Shorts in general. On this current kit though the Blue is better... ffs, when did I become a fashion guru??

Nothing can match, shirt, shorts and socks. Even referees kits have to be a completely different colour. Can't confirm goalies, I know back in the day they could wear the same colour shorts/socks as the outfield players of their team (obviously has to be different to opposition).

I prefer all blue this season the white shorts don’t look great and I don’t know why but they look quite baggy

Same here. Partly because the gold stripes instead of blue (I don't mind gold either) but also because it's a patterned blue top with different shades it might look better with blue shorts

I think teams look better in, when their shirts, shorts and socks are the same colour. 

Look at Tottenham yesterday they looked great in all dark blue, while we seem to look just like Everton

Think it’s more to do with the gold and lack of white trim that makes us look like Chelsea.

White shorts would look so much better if they replaced the gold lines on the shirt for white.

Warning - I’m a nerd for this stuff

 

i also think the blue shorts looked better than white. White just looks clunky to me and also makes me think of Everton more than blue shorts make me think of Chelsea for some reason (I know that won’t be a majority view due to history of  wearing white shorts)

 

I am of the firm opinion that the answer to make us more unique lies in the use of yellow - when I first saw the leak for home kit this year I thought the shoulder stripes were yellow which I was excited about - not the darker gold which it turned out to be. 

 

However - gold shorts would look pretty nifty I think - would separate us from Chelsea / Everton. Obv that’s not going to happen this year but it would seem that we’ll see the blue shorts a decent amount this year? I mean if both teams can’t wear white shorts... surely there will be a lot of teams that will be wearing white shorts away at the KP.
