Stadium Expansion...?

I’m hoping rather than just 1 huge stand on the east stand, they will increase both the north and south stand and be similar to old Trafford, with just 1 of the 3 sides noticeably smaller. It’ll look so odd with 1 huge stand 😂.

Think it would look great if the north and south were added onto, or at least like a double decker kop end as well as the east stand.

If the East stand is knocked down and replaced the 9k stand with a maybe 20k 2 tier stand and the south stand also gets a double tiered kop end , that would look incredible and could get it up to 48k without making it lopsided.

I think realistically, if we're increasing to 48k, it has to include expanding 1 or both ends in addition to the east stand.

It'll stay the same. They'll build up behind the stand then eventually start building back down. Taking the roof off and attaching the new roof will be the last phase of construction.

That looks pretty good apart from the fact it doesn’t cover the two smaller stands (hopefully it covers them if/when they get expanded). Also if the east stand is the only one getting additional seats then I’d be gobsmacked if that adds 16,000.

That looks pretty rancid from that view. The other angles are ok.

Think that would look a lot better fit if the wrapping stretched so it was touching the west stand and if it stretched over the north and south stands to the bottom

corners of the west stand too.

Have spoken to a fella who works at the kp. He says various ideas have been discussed and the 48000 plan would include expanding the east stand and kop and family stand.

The back part looks like a concrete jungle. Finish and materials will make a big difference.

Looks really impressive, as mentioned, don't think that will add 16k. More like take the whole stand to 16k.

 

Just wish they'd do a bit more to the north and south stands, even if they just made the roof taller to blend it in and make room for an extra tier in those stands in the future.
