So like other you only remember the bad things ? The whole team have messed up one way or another in recent times. Cags getting sent off against Bournemouth cost us the year before as did kaspers errors in the same game.  You can’t put missing out on the champs league to 1 game or 1 miss mate seriously !! A loss away to West Ham cos Maddison went to a covid party and got dropped cost us then if that’s the case

Enterprising and always finds a way to have fun, despite trifling matters like UK law, global pandemics or being quite easily recognisable.

 

Does have both great skin and wonderful hair.

 

Always wears a sweatband type thing on his wrist despite never working hard enough to work up a sweat. 

 

Born in Tenerife, moved to Newcastle, then here; which betrays his secret love of pissed up fat English birds.

 

There was evidently some terrible comedy drama which was sort of about him. Not many Leicester players can claim that (or would want to)

 

Nickname is Ayo; which is definitely coolers than Madders or Vards or whatever; but not as good as Sharky or Kevin.

 

Is apparently a 'Fifa addict'. I'm presenting this as a positive; but whatever. We must nearly be at ten? Ok this is number 8; so the positive is he knows how to wind down when not at illegal parties with a lovely bit of sit-at-home Fifa. Well our objective over the last two season was to get European football, which we have achieved twice we Perez playing 58 games.

 

Oh and we won the FA Cup.

 

The guys not a world beater, but he's get an embarrassing amount of stick.

 

Yes he had a bad season last year, but if he can repeat his first season he's a decent squad player

Me too, I believe we will see a better Perez with a fit and firing Riccardo behind him.

 

They seem to work well as a pair, Perez before Riccardo injury played 25, 7 goals 4 assists, since his injury played 33, 3 goals 1 assist.

Here's my take on Perez.  He isn't and was never going to be a Mahrez replacement.  But as it stands, he is the best option we have in that position. 

 

Albrighton is a workhorse, and a Leicester legend, but his outputs aren't as good.  Ghezzal is poor in this league and Sowah is untested.

 

IF we decide not to bring in a new player for this position, then whether we like it or not, Perez is the player the others have to displace. 

 

It's not exactly Perez's fault that he is picked regularly.  It's not really his fault that he isn't Ronaldo. 

 

So I'll get behind him, accept his shortcomings and try not to blame him for global warming, war in the middle East, or African famine if he has a bad game. 

 

We aren't the kind of club who can have world class players in every position.  One of the reasons I love being a Leicester fan is that we often have the underdogs and misfits at our club.  What's not to like about that??!

Our objective in 15/16 was not to get relegated but with the signings we made and momentum we had we were clearly capable of more than that. Some of us just think that with the momentum and team we had when brendan rodgers and tielemans came in and the shakey form of our top 4 competitors, that the signing of perez (and praet for me as well although that's unpopular on here) was the difference between us getting CL and where we are now in both of those two seasons. We were clearly already on the way up in the back end of 18/19 before Perez came in.

Me, I like Perez.  Good feet, one of the better 'ballers' in the team. He is prone to one touch too many and, relatedly, doesn't get his head up enough. Often tries to over complicate and make stuff too clever. And he is probably too slow for our game (not Ghezzal slow though).

 

That all said, I reckon he is a, um, useful/adequate/capable/valuable member of the squad. The kind of player that can make something happen (or at least take a part in it happening) In an ideal world, yes, I'd probably move him on but we're not in an ideal world and so he'll do, and I'm happy with his contributions and output. He's certainly not a liability.

Well, if you heard the musings of a appearance clause in his contract then maybe it is. 

 

Also, it makes me laugh when people like Amartey get stick when he plays as a backup when we're threadbare, and apparently that's absolutely fine for the majority on here. Perez plays first choice for a full season whilst drastically underperforming, but you're a crap fan, ungrateful etc if you point that out apparently. 

 

I hope he turns it around sharpish if Brendan persists with him this season as we can't afford one of our key forward players to return such pitiful numbers again.

We are unfortunate that we aren't blessed with quality in that particular position though....  Perez has scored 10 in two seasons vs albrighton's 3 in 3 seasons.... whereas albrighton has generated twice as many assists....  or Perez has 15 total goal contributions in 2 years and Albrighton has 13 in 3....  Whichever way you cut it.... it's our weakest position.   If the club don't rectify it, who is to blame??
