He will spend a lot of time on the bench this season but I doubt that that will worry him. If you're doing a positive, you could try he has lots of money
VLC86 Posted 3 August 2021 Posted 3 August 2021 Dresses a bit like Pat Butcher and she was alright in her field of work.
Popular Post fuchsntf Posted 3 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 3 August 2021 (edited) He gets selected, puts on the foxes badge,he will always get 100% of my support... Droning on, day in ,week out over any single player, just aint worth yapping Continuously on about it.. Through the season 4-5 players, went through the thresher...Coming 5th was a miracle being we only played with an average of 6 decent players... Edited 3 August 2021 by fuchsntf 3 2
Vardinio'sCat Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 The game was ruined, but it is worth remembering Perez had a very decent first half. I was laughing at the rage that would cause on FT, but sadly the laughing stopped. 2
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 Perez for centre back. You heard it here first. Cometh the hour, cometh the Perez!!! 2

Increasingly, think he is a confidence player - if he has a good start to the game, you often see him keep that momentum going. Sadly, that hasn't been happening so often. Let's hope he's turned over a new leaf with today's performance. 1
norwichfox Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 Pleased to see him play well today, just hope that if Rodgers persists with playing him that he can maintain at least that level. 2
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 4 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 4 August 2021 He played really well today, not just his goal. What helped him massively was Ricardo being back in the team and playing very well himself. Those two link up very well together, and Tielemans also operates well with them; they played some really slick passing triangles and overloads. When Ricardo plays, we often have a 325 shape when attacking and that means that Perez can move inside a bit. Not only is he more comfortable there, but Ricardo operates better in the space he vacates. I think the slower pace that Villareal play suited him, he grew up in Spanish football after all. But if he played like that every week, he'd be a popular player instead of a derided one. Still a lot of work to do, but if he and Ricardo play like that we know how well we can play. Perez did start in many of our best ever performances since Rodgers took over, even if he's not the most spectacular of players. 14
foxile5 Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 Loved seeing him going over and giving the Villareal team a few hugs and that pitch side. Read the ****ing room. 2
STUHILL Posted 4 August 2021 Posted 4 August 2021 Still looks like he runs with his head down and can fall over at any moment but did OK tonight. As others have said, Ricardo was a huge help for him down that right. 1
coolhandfox Posted 5 August 2021 Posted 5 August 2021 Some players work better as a pair, with Riccardo overlapping, it's gives him more space to come inside and play as in narrow forward. 2

That’s the thing. I’m kinda sick of so called fans looking for a scape goat all the time who’s next on the agenda when Perez eventually leaves ?? try supporting our players that BR has instead of being a sheep and grinding him into the ground. kudos pmcla26 for defending him on deaf ears 4 1

We have a few players like that, take Albrighton- he isn’t a starter for a top 4 team but the fans love him because he comes on, gives his all and at times genuinely looks like one of us on the pitch (see his celebration for Youri’s cup final winner or the GIF of him in the stadium). Unfortunately for Perez, he doesn’t really have that connection with fans and coupled with the above makes him stand out like a sore thumb. Id love him to do well, I actually suggested we sign him when he was at Newcastle but when it comes down to it, he just hasn’t quite got enough.

Understand where you are coming from regards players like Marc and ayoze but if BR sees something in them surely we as fans should back the team he picks instead of looking for reasons to hate or reject him ? I have followed city for over 50 years and have seen some real dross in the team and if I’m honest ayoze ain’t one of them he’s not a fans favourite and he may not be as gifted as most of the players around him but he does offer something as BR keeps him involved with the squad. I just hate the fact that because 1 or 2 fans don’t like him they spread the hate all over FT and even in threads not about Perez 3
Popular Post Gav_LCFC14 Posted 5 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 5 August 2021 Shout out to the two old guys who sat next to me at the KP and refused to celebrate Perezs goal. Takes a special kind of energy to be that negative. 2 1 6

Guest Posted 5 August 2021 Posted 5 August 2021 Now that we're probably not signing a winger, he's going to fire us to glory this season and that is something I'm willing to personally guarantee

He often flatters to deceive and his limitations stand out like a sore thumb. This guy literally missed a sitter that ended up being the difference between champions league and Europa. Football is a harsh environment and unfortunately he hasn’t been good enough for us.
