Claridge Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 Do we see him making his second anniversary, I hope so, but I wouldnt put any money on it. Finish outside the top 4 this year and get off to a bad start next season and he is toast. I know that every one would of loved top 6 at the start of the season, but it will be a failures now, if we miss out on champions league

kyleolly Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 Not if we carry on playing like we did tonight
Hammo Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 If we miss out on the Champions League - and we appear to be doing our level best at the moment to ensure that happens - then his stock will fall massively. So yeah, with that hugely lucrative contract, he’ll still be here. 1
silebyboy Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 So whats the standard by which we measure our managers now? Do they need to win the league in their first season? There are quite a lot of people on this site who need to get a grip on reality. 3
shailen Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 Really? You do realise we're third in the league and STILL favourites to get a CL spot. We're in bad form and need a win to kick start momentum and confidence. 1
foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 (edited) After a few games you can’t judge a young team, they have hit bad form, not sure why but having Vardy and Ndidi both suffering injuries and for form was never going to help the situation. We will click again, but signings will be needed in the summer to maintain any challenge for CL place again and actually do well in the competition. This season thankfully everyone is poor bar Liverpool so despite struggling to win, we maintain a good gap to fifth. Rodgers is doing a great job and it would have been naive to think we would go without such a patch Edited 28 February 2020 by foxes_rule1978 2

Unfortunately he set the standard at the start of the season and we are nowhere near that standard at the moment
TMELcfc Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 Probably as he’s on a huge contract... plus With us being so poor lately, why would anyone come and take him?

The standard is don't hit bottom of the table form for over a third of the season maybe. You know, like it would be for the majority of clubs. What are we again, 11 points from 13? That would put anyone's job on the line in the premier League that wasn't a bottom 6 club. Edited 28 February 2020 by kristianity77
Guest Dirkster the Fox Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 Lets check with VAR first...….
Popular Post Pliskin Posted 28 February 2020 Popular Post Posted 28 February 2020 **** sake. This pisses me off more than the crap performances. The expectations are outweighing reality and we’re losing sight of the long term vision. I think Rodgers is doing an amazing job, let’s face it we’re a turd, he’s polished it up real nice, but someone has realised we’re actually a turn and our form has gone a little wobbly. The future is exciting, we’ve seen what Rodgers can do with a team containing largely average players, think of what he can do once he manages to get the team where he wants. This is a project, give it a few seasons and we will be flying, Yea it is a bit shit now, but we know as well as anyone that you have to take the shit before the glory. 5

foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 Rodgers is rubbish, the whole team is useless... only 3rd, nine clear of 5th... shocking stuff

Our performances are lacklustre and we’ve let a 14 point lead potentially go down to 6. 1

Sorry mate, but your talking absolute rubbish. Please think of something sensible to say next time.
Clever Fox Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 I said a Month ago that I believed we'd stumble over the line. I haven't seen anything to change that opinion. The signs are not good and it's down to the Manager. There's too many basic errors. He needs to get a grip and fast. People are deluded if they think he's currently doing a good job. 1

We're playing badly atm but all teams go through a sticky patch and this is ours. We need to find a way to win a game and we'll be back on track.
Corky Posted 28 February 2020 Posted 28 February 2020 I hope so. Fed up of the manager out talk after a poor few months. Everyone needs to up their game and show what we're made of if we're serious about being a top team and not just media soundbites. 1 1
