LaCiudad Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Had the date and time of this game not been announced because it could potentially be behind closed doors?
Bayfox Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Or the tv companies are still squabbling over who gets what games and when. All 4 qf will be on telly. Potentially 1 game a day over 4 days. Fri-Mon
foxile5 Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Probably not - I can't see our infrastructure, the UK in general, wanting to do quarantines and stringent measures until it's past the point of usefulness.
Fox92 Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 There's only 4 games, surely they can play 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.

Fox92 Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Just now, LaCiudad said: Hence my question Yeah I meant in terms of @Bayfox saying spread over 4 days. I thought maybe it'd just be over the weekend but I can see a Friday night or Monday night involved.
grobyfox1990 Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Will be fri - sun. International week begins after so all the players will be off to their teams on the Monday. Chelsea are in Munich on the Wednesday so at least our game won't be on the Friday night

BBC tend to go with one on a friday or monday where poss for some reason, but as someone below has poi ted out there can't be a monday so. But I think the tv companies sorting themselves is more likely than the dealy being down to a virus

Fox92 Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Sheffield Wednesday are at home on the Saturday so Sheffield United v Arsenal has got to be on the Sunday.

filbertway Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Players ordered to play wearing masks and latex gloves, which they have to dunk in a tub of hot water and disinfectant for 10 seconds, every 5 minutes. It's gonna be mental
Aus Fox Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Why the **** is this even a thread? The title is based on zero information other than one persons crazy suggestion. Of all the crap on here, this is a new low for FT.

dylanlegend Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 Hope not the crowd can be the 12th man for games like these
Chrysalis Posted 7 March 2020 Posted 7 March 2020 I wonder if new tv rights are been drawn up or will games be not viewable at all live.

Deeg67 Posted 8 March 2020 Posted 8 March 2020 I don't see why it's so far-fetched. It's already happening in Japan - it can happen anywhere. The alternative is to cancel the games outright. Hong Kong adopted very restrictive policies aimed at containing the outbreak there - canceled all public gatherings, schools closed for months, mandated working from home - that were by no means universally praised. But it looks as if they've largely succeeded at what they were intended to do, based on the numbers coming out of there. Other countries (not the U.S. obviously, but ones not run by psychopaths) will have noticed that.
