I saw him in Oadby Asda down the tinned goods aisle fighting off a pack of rabid pensioners for the last All Day Breakfast in a can using a 3ft long leek.

He was never gonna waste them on a bike ride. He only gets them out on match days. He has to keep his ‘giant whites’ box fresh with special inlays to minimise sole flex. Those match day giant, stacked trainers are mesmerising, intimidating and comforting all at the same time.
