I suspect the US Market access has something to do with this and the entry of more traders now the share price is a bit higher. Trade volume has significantly increased vs this time 1 & 2 months ago.

It's just traders, speculation etc. Depends if you're trading it yourself or holding it believing in the long term prospects as to whether you're bothered by it or not.

A few days ago I posted that I expect it to reach £1 very soon, nothing has changed. I'm not going to sell at £1 either, nor am I trying to influence anyone's decision making, but for me it is a long term play.

Do people think it’s a bad time to jump on it now?

No. It's dipped from 80p yesterday so a good time if want to invest long term. Plenty of people foresee it going back up and on to £1 or better.

You pays your money you takes your chances.

It's a small step, but a nice milestone, that I've reached my first £10k in my investment account.

Nothing more than a couple of ETFs and a small holding in Cat and Tesla, but it's a nice feeling that there is a degree of financial security if something were to happen at work etc.

Depending on investment performance obviously but you could sit back and do nothing for 12 months and it will be £11K next year, but I'm sure you are dripping a bit in.

Absolutely mate, I do it through plum and just regularly drip in week by week.

Week by week, committed - I just do it annually, not advised but im not organised enough to be doing it weekly

May 2020 I pulled together everything I could and put it in a vanguard all world index. Looked like a generational opportunity to buy into a market crash.

Had a direct debit £100-200 a month since then and sitting at +76%.

At 25 it was most likely the best financial decision I will ever make in my life.

Correct, it was a major opportunity for investors even if you just chucked into an S&P500 or FTSE 100 index similar to what you did.

Fair play, I wish I did it.

I use eTorro for some of my investments and was fortunate to put a chunk of cash into Rolls Royce 3 years ago on reports of their work on a new aero engine design and modular nuclear reactor technology. I recently sold half the holding after a 1,070% rise and reinvested/diversified into oil stocks and a Vanguard managed global fund. Oil is getting back into fashion seeing they are scaling back on their performance drag green efforts required pre-Trump to boost their goody ESG score. Only a few weeks in and they are up 8 - 15%. Oils are pretty handy for dividend income to.  I also bought in to Tesla when people were setting them on fire. Up 40% in a few months, people don't tend to appreciate Tesla is a lot more besides cars. I still see Tesla as a buy stock.

For those not using eTorro I'd recommend looking at it as it is US$ based and Rachel is going to be tanking the £ in November.

My stop loss got me fully out at 60p early this morning.

I made just under £4k profit since I got in at the end of June. I'll keep a watching brief in case it drops any further.

Any reason for the dip? Was there some news?

No news from Empire.

I don't know why the dip was, I suspect not many (if any) do. As usual people have probably seen the drop, panicked and sold, then this caused a further drop and probably some have had stop losses activated and it has gone some more.

If you invested in the share believing in its fundamentals and its future, nothing has changed.

The MRE is the next thing that will legitimately move the market in my opinion, until then, this is all just noise and speculation.

Again, this is only my opinion, please make your own judgements.

Until the material is extracted, these companies are simply burning huge swathes of cash betting on the minerals being there, in quality and in quantity.

There's a reason companies like this are so volatile as it's high risk/high reward. They could be sitting on a fortune, or it could all turn out to be worthless.  They need to keep the hype high to keep the investments coming in and to continue exploration.

I only put in a stop loss just in case it had a massive dip. I don't check it all the time every day so wanted some protection.

Now I'm out I'll keep a watching brief and see if it drops any more or starts to recover.

Will be their losses they posted. Hype threw it up and reality is dragging it back down to a correct level.
