Oh dear haha! I’m not sure how it’s guilty of any of these things? The argument is about ‘Chinese Alan’ but what’s wrong with that?

I’d guess it was tongue in cheek gone wrong tbh lol

Seems ridiculous. And completely misses and goes away from the point of BLM. The institutional differences in education, policing and education

The bandwagon is out of control and heading into oblivion.

It should be banned in grounds of poor taste

How dare Carl Douglas sing about "funky chinamen!"

I also fear for Mt Rushmore.

Except Lincoln, you can keep Lincoln.

He was shot before he turned racist.

But you're not laughing "with" Fawlty, you're laughing "at" him and his ridiculous notions. Therein lies the crux.

It's the same with characters such as Homer Simpson, Peter Griffin, various Blackadders, Alan Partridge, Arnold Rimmed, Douglas Reynolm, Jim Bell,..you're not supposed to think, there's someone I'm going to model myself on, they're someone to be ridiculed.

It's almost as if some people don't understand humour.

This important nuance is being lost entirely to the baying mob mentality.

Similar to the blanket demand to tear down any statue that tickles the fancy - race and history is more than just good / bad. And those that don't remember history are doomed to repeat it.

Which parts? It's become exhausting to keep up.

Couldn't even specify which but it's so utterly ridiculous to the point I actually think it's just deliberately to cause a stir.

So far I've reported Simon DeMontfort for banishing the Jews from Leicester on the anniversary of the Holocaust 790 before it happened, Brian Clough for taking Nottingham Forest out of Europe thereby starting us off on the long path to Brexit, Florence Nightingale for never saying anything in support of non-binary rights thereby reinforcing the UK's tyrannical cis-normative agenda, Boadicea and Her Daughters for the lack of diversity and representation, and Nelson's Column for it's ablism.

The guy has a past, a history of 1st degree felonies & serving 5 separate prison sentences spanning back to the early 90s. The latest he served was a 5yr stretch for being the ring leader in forcefully gaining entry to a pregant womens home with intent to rob, when she resisted he aimed his gun at her stomach when she screamed he pistol whipped her before going through the house for what the gang could take.

As i say he was a wrong'un but did not deserve to die they way he did, but we can't ignore the past when it doesn't fit the agenda...or can we?

If he didn't deserve to die the way he did, then why bring up a violent past that he has done time for and served his debt to society from at all, if the two have nothing to do with each other?

History should be brought up when it's relevant to present matters, so I'd be interested in knowing exactly what the mans past has to do with the manner in which he died, which is the key element of all this. How he died is the cause celebre, not the manner in which he lived.
