His accent has given me an aneurism.

Good guy, I liked Iain Hume but he really was the best of a bad bunch at the time. I remember he scored a free kick away at Wolves early in the first half (I think) on a Sky game. Cracking goal.

2 and a half hours? If they want people to watch this stuff they need to edit it down a bit.

Watching him tor 90 minutes was hard Enough!

I joke of course. I really like him, shows how far we've come though that he used to be our star player. Fast forward a decade or so and Slimani, Musa, krameric with 200 international he's between them can't even get a game.

He came in and bought some new boots from JJB when I was working there which I always thought was strange from a footballer to be buying his own boots.

Listening to that interview makes me wonder if it's when Levein chucked them all away.

Speaks about us fondly, like a fan.

Cov fans giving him some in games as he is ex Leicester:cool:

The Morgan stuff reminded me of our end at the Lane soon after the elbow incident. Morgan comes up for a corner and to a man our lot give him pelters.

Be interesting to listen to what he has to say about that. Guessing that’s after he speaks about his time with us?

Yeah we somehow drew that one, Collins John missed a ****ing sitter.

Yeah the transition of how his time ended here leads almost straight into that.

Yeah very intense that part.

Sweet thanks, I’ll give the rest a listen tomorrow.

Him and Fryatt could have made a decent partnership if they stayed together for longer and had a competent midfield to feed them. The season we got relegated it felt like we had no midfield all season, we were decent defensively and he looked okay up front.

I was always a fan. Gave the ball away a lot but won a weird amount of headers against much taller opposition.

Yeah, he used to spring really well and time his jumps to win flick-ons. His goal return in a poor team wasn't too bad, certainly one of few who can look back and say he gave everything for the cause.

Certainly a player who worked his socks off 100% and never gave up, like Paul Dickov closer to the time.

Was upsetting with his horrible skull injury, and very lucky/fortunate that he didn't get any severe brain damage from the incident - Chris Morgan was a very lucky man.

Had the referee in that game, D'Urso, instantly red-carded him (which he absolutely should've done) instead of a ridiculous booking, reckon he would've - rightfully - faced a massive ban from the Football Association considering the life-changing impact it had on Hume.

From listening to the podcast it sounds like he had the option to try and press criminal charges against Morgan but he didn’t want to....

Not necessarily sure how that would work but surely Morgan would of had to have been arrested and charged with assault before any of that could have happened? Is it implied that had Iain reported it to the police they’d have investigated? It was a comment I wish they’d have spoken more about during the interview.

Both him and Fryatt were two excellent forwards at that level who should have been some of the top strikers in the Championship had it not been for injuries. Makes it even worse that prat Chris Morgan did Hume in intentionally and that Fryatt’s injuries may have been exacerbated by mismanagement. You know he isn’t chatting shite about working hard and caring about keeping us up because you could tell almost every week they were putting their all into a poorly ran and managed club.

Brilliant he still has a fondness for the club despite what the decision-makers tried to pull on him, absolute tossers they were trying to do over an honest bloke, even if he did sign the clause.

Got a signed Hume shirt if anyone wants to offer hundreds of pounds for it? I'll stick by my logic from the time- he will go on to be a top class PL striker. PM me  x

He came in with the Connolly money, didn't he? Fryatt and Hume coming in? (EDIT: Fryatt came later, at the end of Jan) I remember being very excited as a 15 year old. We'd got Hume, De Vries, a rated Elvis Hammond, Sylla and Douglas to go with Hughes and Williams in midfield. We'd got Johansson from Blackburn on a free. Levein was highly rated as a manager and the only way was up.

I always like having players like Hume in our history, the glimmers of light you need when everything just slowly but surely goes to shit so you can look back all this time later and remember.

Enjoyed that, always like Hume.

Chris Brown didn’t come across well during the Morgan conversation in my eyes. Wouldn’t really comment about his mate, did his best to hush it up. Even defended his character at one point. Felt it was a bit disrespectful towards Hume really. Saying he only saw it at the time and not since (knowing Hume’s coming for the PodCast and that’s a huge talking point, anyone and everyone would have taken another look at the incident). Anyone who’s seen the incident could tell there was malice in it.

Browny even says “I’m really glad you’ve said that mate” when Hume says look I know he’s not meant to **** my brain up but it is what it is, and if he’d have just spoke to me I’d have been fine with him.

Almost made it sound like Humey was the one who needed to ****ing apologise?! How about shit or get off the pot you ****, if you’ve got that much objection to talking about it take yourself out off the room - Chris Morgan was a horrible, horrible bastard who substituted ability with being able to **** somebody up, properly in Hume’s case. I wish he’d have properly gone in on him and made Brown really uncomfortable.

When I watched it I wasn’t sure if I had a clouded view of him because he lives down my way and goes to the same gym as a few of my mates. I’ve come across him a few times and always thought he was a bit of a c0ck to be quite honest. Acts a bit ‘big time’ for my liking but that’s a personal opinion. That podcast backed it up massively.

I’ve avoided those podcasts in the past but I was interested to see what Hume had to say about us.
