Anyone playing/played this on console yet?

Heard bad things about the console experience but good things about the game.

Just wait for it to be completed. This game will be better once the official next gen versions are out. Until then I wouldn't bother. It's still a good game but may as well wait for a great game.

Depends on the console

Basic PS4/Xbox One - sounds like an absolute nightmare and should not bother playing it

PS4 Pro/One X - sounds like you can just about get away with it, but will likely still experience some bugs/crashes of some kind

PS5/Xbox Series X - I personally played and finished the game on PS5 from release day and the only main issue I really had was the game crashing every so often and 1 bug which meant I couldn't do a side mission (which was easy enough to get around in the end) and I believe they have pretty much sorted the crashing issue now meaning the game is very playably on next gen

Still absolutely loved the game and plenty to keep you going (took me about 50 years to do 1 play through with plenty of side missions still left to finish)

If you have a next gen console and really want to play, I would personally say go for it

If you are happy enough to wait then might as well wait until they properly polish it off with patches in the next 6 months to 1 year

Final thoughts on the game: all in all it's a good game, I enjoyed the ride and the story, got a good amount of entertainment for my money but I also see a wasted potential.

For me there's very little replay value because the story is set in stone, your background doesn't matter and the outcome of your extremely self-centered journey is decided in the very last moments of the game, when everything is said and done. V's evolution as a character isn't determined by the player but is already set by the script. You just go along with the flow and your actions have a very little impact on those around you.

The criminal lack of interactivity with the otherwise beautiful city, the painfully obvious cut contents, the cardboard cut NPCs, and the absence of factions or dynamic events only reinforce the impression that you just don't belong in Night City and it only serves as a temporary background (as postal card) for your quest to get rid of Johnny Silverhand. I've had more fun wandering in a much, much smaller city in Kamurocho's Yakuza 0 than in the gigantic Night City. Games like Fallout, the Elder Scrolls or Assassins Creed for all their flaws let you immerse yourself in the world without even bothering with the main quest.

I already knew it was never to going to live to the insane hype it's been surrounded but it's still a far cry from CDPR's own Witcher.

Don't think it's so much that they have stolen the source code, that is the biggest issue.

But depending on what information they have stolen when it comes to 'accounting, admin, legal, HR, investor relations and more'. That could lead to a massive GPDR risk, which could cost them hugely and set the company back further than Cyberpunk did.

So what's the threat exactly, that the hackers release under-developed buggy CD Projekt software early..?  Not sure that's an issue for them.

It's more to do with the personal details of the developers, IMO.

We know the internet is an absolute cesspit when it comes to "Gamers". Nothing is beyond them when they somehow feel they've been collectively wronged. Who knows what they'll do with the info.

Using a PS4 pro and since the last update/fix I've had no issues whatsoever throughout 15hrs of game time.

Started playing this in December and I'm still not even halfway through Act 2 and still with ample side quests and gigs remaining.

My disappointment surrounds the utterly forgettable soundtrack, which is quite frankly dreadful; the crude and awkward crafting system and the level cap which has implications for any future Game Plus roll out or DLC. Given the host of problems associated with and cursing this project and surrounding CD Projekt Red right now, I can't see that either are forthcoming or imminent.

Oh yeah - the contrived sex scenes are both hilarious and cringeworthy and ostensibly conceived by some spotty virginal intern/games development undergrad via a sophomore subscription to porn hub.

Haven’t touched this game since I finished my first playthrough last December

Probably give it another go when the next gen update comes out

Nice to see that they aren’t actually just leaving it the mess it was on release and are trying to fix it, reminds me of No Mans Sky (although that was empty from the start rather than broken like Cyberpunk) and that has become a decent game now

I'm finally going to give this a playthrough I think.

BUGS persuaded me against it first time.

Should 1.3 be live now? I can't see that EPIC has applied the latest patch for me yet?

Should be out on all platforms now

Update goes live today!

At last. Finally. Post-launch, the entire global gaming community has been in long awaited anticipation of...the "hairdressing mirror". Precisely the fix this game needed.

Mmmmm.  Might get this now.  Still not got TLOU2 for PS5 either though and the upgrade for that was released a while back.  No time.  I blame AC Valhalla.  Ate up too many hours (roughly 125) with unnecessary filler and a subpar plot.

My play through of cyberpunk was about 50 hours - and I am one of those people who will disappear into side quests and exploring and forget about the main story for a while

TLOU2 is about 25-30 hours

Main story of Horizon Forbidden West is reported as being about the same as Zero Dawn - around 30 hours

Plenty to keep you going haha

It took me around 75 hours to do everything in ZD including platinum.  FW takes at least 100 hours to do everything according to what I've seen/read although the platinum should take less.  I've not read into that too much as there is spoiler content in the trophy list for FW.  I might go to TLOU2 after FW just to get away from the open world formula and then possibly do Cyberpunk.  Elden Ring is another possibility as is Ghost of Tsushima.  Again, back to open world games... lol

Think I'll still hold on until the game is complete before I give it a go, hopefully by the end of the year.

I saw a livestream yesterday when the devs were demonstrating all the "fixes", and the player kept having to repeatedly trying to turn the character away hoping people would ignore the glitching out vehicles. lol

I'll wait for it to end up in the bargain bin or on Gamepass and give it another go. I doubt I'd pay full price.

I feel sorry for the devs, but it really feels like they're flogging a dead horse. I wonder whether they'll just move on now they've got it to the point where it probably should've been on launch. I don't think we'll see No Man's Sky levels of redemption here.

They're a big studio with (before this game, at least) a very good reputation. I think they will keep working on this game until it is where it should be. I was looking forward to it based on the lengthy 'gameplay' videos they put out, and it's still exactly the type of game I would love if it was polished and had all the content that it's meant to have. I'll wait until the next big update and dive in to it. I read a post on reddit that said playing the game today vs the first few months it's like a different, better game. The new update has fixed a lot of problems and added a lot of content. So another big update like this one I'm sure I'll be able to play (near) the game that was advertised to me.

Watching a live stream of this right now and it's terrible.  A random bloke just appeared through a wall.  lol

The movement is off as well.  Turning left or right all of a sudden it quick spans just at the end of the movement.  Looks weird.

Depressing to think that's the improved version.  It's not a bad game, it's just laughably broken at times.
