Nahh its worth it, keep going lad

I'm sorry dude, freaky pixel porn in a tank with a 3D mesh with a big arse doesn't make up for every, single, ****ing, god-damn, self-satisfied, egomanic line of dialogue.

Like, Judy was a total edgelord at first but she calms down fairly quickly once you start helping her. Panam is just overwhelmingly smug permanently so far.

It's possibly extra frustrating as I'm a nomad that's taken a heavy tech route, I'm like 19 tech at this point so I pretty much ace everything mechanical which also seems to overlap with her background and "skillset" so every action so far she's just got to one-up whatever I as the player character am doing. Somehow this makes it just all the more annoying.

You spelled Kusanagi wrong but that's ok.

I was absolutely buzzing when I got the Akira bike. But I love the sound of the Archer you get, yknow, after you say goodbye.

Has all that Cafe Racer cool. It's cracking.

Either way though, yeah, bikes over cars in this.

Nah the sound is why I prefer the Kusanagi, the Arch has this constant upcycling whirr and it gets on my tits.

One part of the game I DO hate that's not a bug, that's not missing or unfinished, isn't performance related and is almost certainly working as intended - stealth.

There's a toggle stealth key but so much shit just randomly pulls you out of it, clipping too close to a wall that the game thinks you want to lean up against is a big one. You also can't re-map the keybindings for dodge, meaning that you're stuck with it being double-tap on a movement key. The problem with this is that stealthing is all about gradual, small movements so tapping directional keys a few times consecutively is normal. But when you do, you go darting out of stealth and stand bolt upright in full view of whoever you're hiding from doing jazz hands.

It's awful. Feels absolutely terrible. When you think that Dishonoured and Deus Ex basically mapped this out and they didn't really have to do any brainwork, it's baffling that they've somehow borked it.

So many of the stealth missions in the game I've had to do by spamming quick save throughout because it's way too easy to just randomly bungle something.

If you're on PC there's a mod that allows you to remap the keys.

Look in this website, the modders are already doing wonders, even addressing the performance issues. There also a mod to fix the driving.

Still didn't buy it. My new rig with a 3080 is only coming this weekend and I'm waiting for the 1.05 patch at least. From what I read, they bit more than they can chew. Ideally one should wait and play it in a year with all the DLC.

Honestly, that's not necessary. I've logged about fifty hours and besides a few CTDs it's really alright.

Waiting a year to play it on a good pc would be excessive.

Jesus, thats a huge move and a big middle finger to CDPR. Not even Anthem/Fallout 76 got this treatment! Right call though for me.

I suspect it may be something to do with CDPR diverting loads of players to Sony for refunds without putting in any special agreement in place and causing loads of confusion.

Wow. Absolutely unprecedented.

CDPR stock prices are absolutely tanking.

Sony clearly very upset at the situation and rightly so. I hope Microsoft follow suit.

You have to wonder why total bags of shit like Fallout 76 didn't get the same treatment, but perhaps it's the proverbial straw. A lesson that the industry has needed for a long time now.

I feel sorry for the devs, though. How many of them expressed their concern to management that the game was 1) Broken on last-gen hardware 2) Missing a lot of previously advertised features 3) In need of some serious QA?

If decision makers at CDPR had just done what they should have and made Cyberpunk a next-gen and PC only release, players would (largely) be satisfied and all of this mess could've been avoided with their reputation intact.

But no, as usual, shareholders were at the forefront and greed prevailed. What a shame.

This must be to do with them saying to contact Sony for a refund, without agreeing this with them first. They must have really pissed them off big time.

Cyberpunk is great on PC but yeah, the industry needs this. It has to stop.

It also shows even "customer friendly" "media darlings" like CDPR are not immune.

Leadership obviously knew the game was tosh on consoles or else why would they of let early reviewers review only the PC version?

Absolutely horrendous mistakes from their management teams. I feel sorry for the Developers who genuinely put their heart and soul over the years to developing this. Only to see all of their hard work undone by poor executive decisions.

From what I read, there's more to it than bugs and glitches.

A lot of features didn't make it to the final version (wall running, npc reacting if you commit a crime, vehicle customization). A notable number of players mentioned the lack of interaction with open world, AI issues, bullets-sponge enemies, no police car chases, the cops literally spawning in your back when you commit a crime, and so on. While the writing and the story seem to be its strong points, I get the feeling that this needed at least 6 more months in the oven.

What it your take on it?

The open world could have more depth to it I guess, they could add in more features like car customisation, barbers, maybe weapon customisation but these things are all a bit fluff.

You're generally so busy just doing things that it's not overly necessary.

Civilians react if you commit crimes around them, they run away, get scared, etc.

The police system is shit though yeah. But I mean, the game doesn't really lean towards giving you opportunities to provoke them. It's not GTA and Night City isn't San Andreas, you're not supposed to be a gangster and Night City is so horrendous that shoot outs in the street are just common place and unless you're endangering civilians the police don't care.

There's just no reason to ever bother beating up a civilian, you won't gain anything for it. It typically only happens if you accidentally run them over but then you lose any chaser immediately.

99.9999% of the shootouts you get in public are get in to are with people that have bounties on their heads so the police not only don't care, you get paid for it.
