Both were clearly injured in their last games played. Brendan was giving them every chance to get fit. If they could play they would be playing! The end of season is a week away then it's only a short time off before it all starts again. He needs them back fully fit for that. Risking playing them when injured could make things a whole lot worse and we do not need more players needing operations.ย

Precisely - already lost Ricky for an extended period and now Fuchs .... next season is going to be a marathon with all the games to be crammed inย

Yeah I hope it is tbh. Both great players that I don't want to see leave. And I'd never question their commitment whilst they're playing but if he was jumping around the injury must not be that bad imo and nothing that an injection can't fix.ย

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Oh mate I don't mean he did a lap of the pitch, he was just visibly very happy when we scored, like it meant something, I don't mean he was literally jumping up and down. Plus It's not like he's broke his leg, he's got a fairly minor injury.ย

Madders is going nowhere and given Fuchs and Ricardo are out for a while I cannot see them letting Chilly go yet as there would be no full back cover left!

Yeah I agree they were both injured in their last games that they played. I personally think the prize of champions league football is too big not to risk further injury and think the club may think the same way, unless they're overly concerned the injury is too bad for the player to perform. Maybe I'm thinking like a fan too much and not a football player.ย

Makes you think really with the rumours going on that they are being protected from injury before the end of season sale ?

As for Fuchs heโ€™s a class player but no 94 min player anymore heโ€™s more of an impact sub or a oneย half player !

ย

Shame if weโ€™re letting Maddison go after 1 year as I feel the lad will only get better with us and be ruined by Chelsea if going there, but looks like Chilwell has made his mind up to go pity really he didnโ€™t see what that pirate killer Stifling hoarding ย of youth from other clubs youth quality youngsters did to Drinkwater turned him from quality to inadequate?

ย

I FUCHING HATE CHELSEA for their letโ€™s buy all the quality youngsters and lose them in the more of the loan market or just keep them in the closet !

Not sure if you've played any football but it's a tad more physical than jumping up off a seat

I don't know much about Madders hip problem but the condition Chilly has can be aggravated the more you use it. Obviously he runs and runs, that's his game and so if further damaged it could actually need an operation. Its treatable with physio painkillers, rest and insoles etc.. and with not playing and restingย it would be fine. I think they just are not going to risk it and have him out potentially longer than the 2 games left given Fuchs and Ricardo are out? Just guess work?ย

If these pair were out of contract and were deciding not to play for fear of injury ruining a move, I could understand it. Theyโ€™re not out of contract so thusly must play if fit, which makes me think they are genuinely injured. Sky love focusing in on Madders in the stands, I reckon theyโ€™d show Chilly too if he was there. I wonder why heโ€™s not ๐Ÿค” Massive blow that theyโ€™re both out.ย

He is having that shell-suit surgically removed.ย  ย I doubt we would sell both in this window?

Or heโ€™s celebrating The scousers league win in the Scousers National Costume the old Shell suit !๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Why do people have to look for alternative reasons for these things. Why can't players just have an injury which takes longer than a week to recover from? Lol

Other sides are looking a bit leggy and patchwork too. Sheff U were blowing by about half an hour in, and Man U look much more fragile than a few games ago. Fernandes and Pogba looked tired tonight, even if they still showed some quality.

Pretty much boils down to us beating Man U last match of the season. If we are good enough we will if not then bring on the Europa league where unless Iโ€™m mistaken we will be seeded going into the groups. There will be some mighty fine away days in there ๐Ÿ˜€

thatโ€™s why we need West Ham to be a v competitive fixture next week for yanited. They wonโ€™t be able to rotateย

ย

not sure what benefit there is to announce that Thomas will be our left back to Jose and ole so they can prepare. ย If we see both managers target young Luke and he struggles at all then Brendan will be partly responsible. ย he could easily have said that Ben will be reassessed Saturday and just commented that Fuchs picked up a slight strain last Sunday so was rested yesterday. ย Itโ€™s not just about Thomas - itโ€™s about the whole left side defensively. ย Of course brendan might have decided to encourage spurs to go down the sides rather than throughย the middle re our back three and a possible lack of mobility against son/Kane/random breaking midfielderย

You are mistaken. We'd be seeded 4th.
