The OH Leuven Thread 2020/21

..like the way Leuven went forward to get the winner!!!

Great mentality after scoring so late on, you would have believed that they would look to tighten up and see out the game. They looked very positive after scoring and should have had the penalty, their defender not playing the ball and nowhere near within reach of the ball.

Two points from 2 games, not sure about the strength of  Genk but they looked good and this should set us up for future games.

Genk will likely finish inside the top 6. They were the better team, but they didn't have the better chances. Considering the fact that we've had no time to prepare for the season, and are getting hammered with injuries, this was a great result, especially considering we could (should) have won had the VAR had the balls to grant us that penalty.

How hasn't that been given?

Only thing that I can think of is the heavy touch, but he's been twatted there

Playing devil's advocate you might say it was a shoulder to shoulder challenge.

But I dont really believe that. You can bet if that challenge had been made on someone like Rashford a penalty would've been awarded!

Looks like Iversen was solid against Genk? He was miles off saving the shot that resulted in the goal though. Leuven probably fortunate to get away with a point, even though it was a clear penalty at the end.

Solid debut by Iversen! I'm happy he's on our squad.

Apparently he has already impressed the manager. In the pre-game interview they asked him why he picked Iversen instead of Darren Keet, who had a good game against Eupen. Our manager answered: Because Daniel is much better.

That's good to hear. I wasn't sure whether this was a good move for him, but if he's already nailed down the first team spot, then that's great news.

Depends on how you look at it. I think we had more clear chances than them.

Everything about it is terrible. I'm not even sure what the striker is doing. Its the dying seconds; get your shot off!

I love that I understood "for the winning goal."

It sounded like he's Canadian "for the winning goal, eh"
