Any link to highlights?

So, rights to our league is a clusterfck at the moment and nobody is really able to put them online in a "normal" way... except Eleven Sports themselves. But they are SLOOOW. So, either you'll need to make an account on the "Vier" website (a Belgian TV channel) and chances are you'll need to register with a Belgian address and over an VPN. Or you can wait for Eleven Sports to put them on youtube. For that, you'll have to wait, but i can show you the highlights of LAST WEEKS 1-3 loss vs Charleroi if you're interested lol So, if you look up their youtube channel in a few days, it'll be there (hopefully).

...interesting the OHL set up for the corner with four  players in front of the keeper!!!

Not something I have seen before but obviously someone has devised that system and believes it works. Personally I would rather a player on each post as that gives an assistance to the keeper. Creating a space infront of the keeper in order to protect him allows the opponents to stand further away from the goal but also the spring board to attack the ball with a short run.

Could easily have been 6 goals conceded and the defence, seemed short of support far too often, with an attacker constantly spare, even though, they, Chaleroi were down a man. Perhaps going to a back three might be the option to get a toe hold in this league until we can get the right personnel into the team.

Sowah looks like he can do some damage if played out wide, there is enough pace and quality for a back three to work, without losing the ability, to hurt the opposition.

To be fair, Sowah has been playing mostly on the wing for the past two seasons and was pretty disappoining in that position. It's only been since Brys moved him to the center of the pitch that his performances have really skyrocketed. He tends to do better when he has more space to drift;

Can’t find the link but there’s an article on Malinov whose ambition is to eventually join Leicester 🙄😂😂

He may be a little late for that, considering he's already 26. But fair play to him for being ambitious and in all honesty, I can see him making a few more steps up during his career.

Mercier looks good. And the Flemish commentator makes him sound like his name is Messi.

Gerrimin.

He's been a bit of a mixed bag, actually. He's a very gifted player technically but he has a tendency to pretty much always go for the most difficult option when it comes to passing decisions. And because of that, we often miss out on chances or goalscoring opportunities because the 'easier' pass would also have resulted in a goalscoring opportunity. But he's been doing better under the new coach, just like Sowah, so it might be down at least partially to tactics as well.

And the fact that he tends to bottle the easier stuff like missing that rebound in front of an open goal or missing the one on one right before Waasland-Beveren equalised doesn't help either. :p

fivethirtyeight.com finally released an update including the Jupiler League,  So OHL have made their debut in the Global Club Rankings.

#409 may not sound inspiring ... but hey, there’s 223 clubs beneath them, including six MLS clubs.

And Leuven are looking down at the greatest team, the world has ever seen … the mighty Sunderland AFC (#424).

It’s a start!

Not sure how this works, but how do they compare to a mid table run of the mill championship club, say a Reading for example.
Just interested when comparing loans, on a global scale is there much difference in one of our players going to OHL or QPR

As you suspect, it is basically an attempt to do the impossible -- compare the relative strengths of 600+ clubs who rarely or never play each other.  They use a combination of results, adjusted goals and two forms of xG.  https://fivethirtyeight.com/methodology/how-our-club-soccer-predictions-work/

So, rosters (except overall value) are not part of the formula.  At the beginning of league seasons, the list lags the changes caused by roster moves, so there are always big shifts in the rankings.

I put it out there because it's fun -- not because it's hugely meaningful.  Though when we hit the top ten briefly last December, that did feel pretty good to me!  And I'm not aware of any other club ranking that attempts to cover the whole world.

Werder Bremen is lending Jonah Osabutey to OH Leuven until the end of this campaign.

Striker who was on loan at Mouscron in the top Belgian division last season

5 goals and 4 assists in 22 games

A striker who can also play as a winger. He'll come in on loan, but we have an option to buy him as well.

He had a good year with Moeskroen last season.

On paper this looks like a good signing.
