Only problem with Kamal is, will he ever get a work permit so we can play him?!?!

2 more years and he can get Belgian nationality, but given he is doing well in the Belgian top division don't rule out him getting a senior call up to Ghana and then it all changes.

Hopefully a new deal. Hasn’t played in our u23 matches & was training with the first team for the Burnley game.

I'm not convinced, why not have him on the bench vs Arsenal? My prediction is he will leave the club in the next year without having played a first team game for us.

Tavares is alive, he starts tonight for our U23's. Shame Terell Pennant has already been relegated back to the U18's aged 18. Could do with a new U23 striker as well, was hoping we'd invest significantly in a 17-18 year old with the intention of them pushing for a few cup and European games this season.

Playing left wing though lol. Him and Wright seem to be rotating a bit tbf, but most of the time it’s Sidnei wide left tracking their fullback as we’ve set up to play on the counter.

If we want to develop Sidnei properly we need to promote him to the first team or gerrim out on loan.

Madness they don't play Terell Pennant wide left where he is lethal for the U18's. Where's the motivation to improve?

...we have played these before and they were very impressive!!!

The coach of the team moved up and it seems his replacement has got this Blackburn team well drilled following in his footsteps. Very intelligent players and we need to play in this fashion and I can not see us being technically as good and have the football intelligence as these. I suggested we got hold of the Blackburn team running their U23s as we are nowhere near this quality of football.

Sam Hughes responsible for two of the goals and looks very poor tonight. We need 3 touches to control the ball and therefore no time on the ball as we are quickly being closed down, hoofing from the back only gets the ball coming straight back and they are picking us apart with great movement but as we are so naive it is too simple.

They are playing a very strong team tonight.  A seasoned pro in Daniel Ayala is at the back for them.

...they are still impressive...we have played first teamers coming back from injury or getting game time before!!!

This is a very good setup and they did the same against us last season.

Petty: It's All A Learning Process
DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
Published 1 hr 35 mins ago

Assistant Senior Professional Development Phase Coach Ben Petty is confident Leicester City's Development Squad can deliver a performance when they travel to Derby County on Friday (7pm kick-off).
More on this story...

- Ben Petty previews Friday’s Premier League 2 encounter with Derby County at Loughborough University Stadium (7pm kick-off)
- The fixture will be broadcast live on LCFC TV from 6:45pm, with Nick Walsh and Sean St Ledger
- The Development Squad are currently ninth in the early PL2 standings after winning one of the first three games

Petty has seen the Foxes record victories over Hull City, in the EFL Trophy, and Manchester United, before defeats against Everton and Blackburn Rovers, prior to the trip to face the Rams.

Despite a mixed start to the season, he is hoping the players can learn from their mistakes in order to start producing positive performances again for the full 90 minutes.

"We've been really disappointed by the last two results after a fantastic pre-season and fantastic results against Hull and Manchester United," Petty told LCFC.com.

"In both the games we had defeats in, in the first-half, we were well in the game and I think it was the first goal against in both games that has rocked us really.

"It's about improving mentally and getting stronger and if we do go a goal down, a little bit like the first team did against Manchester City, we stick to the game plan and bounce back.

"It's a younger group of players, we're learning about them all the time, that's what Development Squad football is all about."

The Club’s youngsters are aiming to get back on track during their fourth fixture of the 2020/21 league campaign, but will be coming up against a quality opposition, according to Petty.

He continued: "It gives us a chance to realign and have a look at ourselves again and come back fighting again tomorrow night. It will be a tough local derby but it's one the lads are really up for.

"Derby have been excellent over the last couple of seasons, very much like ourselves, and they have produced a lot of players through the Under-23s that have gone into the first team.

"We always have a very tough game against them, we know their staff very well and they know us.

"They know the way we play, that we're going to press them, so I expect it to be a really interesting game and a battle."

With the game coming just four days after the Blackburn trip and being followed by another away fixture in the EFL Trophy next Tuesday, Petty says the whole squad will need to be ready for action.

"We have to freshen it up after Monday night and then we'll have to look towards a very tough game on Tuesday against Harrogate Town, who are absolutely loving life in League 2," Petty added.

"I think we've got a core squad of about 18 to 20 players because we've got some of the Under-18s with us as well. It's about finding the right time to blood them and also using our experienced players to help them along.

"We've just got a doubt about Layton Ndukwu. He missed Monday's game with a knee injury so he hasn't trained this week and we may just be missing Callum Hulme.

"But we're pretty much at full strength and ready to go."

All times BST.

Any background info on this chap ?

He was the lad who was training with the first team during pre season, been playing for Scotland's U17's last season too I think. Positive to see Beaglehole give him an opportunity at 16.
