Where has his long throw come from, and decent set pieces?

He’s always had a cracking left foot, if he had a bit more athleticism he’d be a top draw attacking wing back.

Poorly mismanaged. Had crap loans and never had a manager willing to try and get the best out of him. The rest of our kids will probably go the same way at this rate.

Would be willing to give him a proper go next year.

Kristiansen is a far bigger bombscare than Thomas imo, LT has made fewer mistakes, he's not at the level we needed to survive, but i'd happily give him a run in the Championship with a manager who knows how to organise a defence, he's the least of our worries.
If we can get 8m for him in summer and then reinvest that money into a left back, sure. If the offer that comes in is £5m or less we might as well hold onto him.

I'd like to see this sort of line up next season.

Stolarcyzk

New RB

Souttar

Nelson

Thomas

Skipp

New CM

Fatawu

BEK

Alves

New ST

Braybrooke, Evans, Cartwright, Ali, Joseph et al to get minutes in the cups and off the bench.

4 academy grads and a much younger side is instantly more likeable because they'll try and mostly aren't grossly overpaid.

I don't think any of these will be going anywhere  Coulibaly, Golding, Mavididi, Reid, Pereira

That would get me interested again.

Why would you like to see skipp? I understand thinking it might be him, but I wouldn't have him in a 'would like to see' capacity! 😄

We're not selling him anytime soon, he was good for Norwich in the championship when he last played in it. He's also not one of the culpable twats this season (directly).

He is so bad, he can't get into the squad of culpable twats!

He's off it this season but we've had two of our worst ever PL managers not being picked by those two isn't as damning as it might be.

He was promoted with Norwich and in the PFA TOTY last time. I'm not a fan of his particularly and it was a stupid signing but he's a good Championship player.

He’s not the most adventurous player but he is the least of our concerns.  I guess his frame doesn’t do him any favours as a defender and he’s never in the managers tactics to try and get forward.

It’s pointless playing them together, VK drifts too close to Thomas yet somehow doesn’t help him defend and leaving space to overload. Not sure if you noticed but several times when Thomas had the ball to play out the back, VK stayed in line with him and dropped back almost like he didn’t want the ball.  When he got the ball closer to the wing, VK was static so he ends up passing backwards, forced to stink it out.

I noticed this with Soumare too, he wouldn’t drift into space to receive the pass but stay still waiting for the opposition to move. These two and JJ killed any attack from being so static and unadventurous.

He is absolutely adequate in the championship as a left back. I'd try cashing in on VK, he's not much better if at all.

Luke done ok yesterday and wasn't our worst defender though he was at for the first goal with his clearance.

Think Coady was a lot to blame for the first goal from memory. Miles up the pitch and missed a tackle.

Yes,  Coady was dreadful turning his back on the Ball.  Thomas should have made sure his clearance made the touchline. These are the small margins that are costing us goals every wee.

absolute nonsense. he had 2 loans. performed poorly. like a boy among men for large parts of his time here also

i want him to do well but not at the detriment to leicester city being where they belong.

Nice lad, tries his best but he’s just not good enough guys.  If someone wants him, he should go imo.

I want him to succeed but we won’t progress with him in the side imo.

I think to an extent, it comes down to attitude. I can’t comment about Skipps ability as I haven’t seen enough of him but he has proven he can be a top player at the level we will be at. Question is whether he is a decent character and will work hard. If so, he has a place.

It’s the likes of Faes and Vestergaard that need binning as a priority. Poor players and shit characters. And Ward but hopefully his contact sees to him going.

He seems to have bulked up and looks more composed. Maybe he has gone away and worked on himself and reflected?

You can’t judge him on the Sheff Utd loan. Look at the state of them last season, come on. The Middlesbrough one was disappointing. But it came after the Sheff Utd debacle so who knows where his head was at.

If he has reflected on himself, gone away and worked on that to try and turn things around, that would show a positive attitude and commitment and maybe in that case, we should see what he can do?

Did Luke Thomas play enough in the previous 2 seasons for Sheffield united and Leicester city for him to have 3 consecutive premier league relegations on his CV?
