Needs to be dropped from the squad for a good few weeks. Personally I'd stick him on the transfer list and accept any offer going.  He isn't good enough and must be shot of confidence too. A complete liability.

Not sure which is the most depressing scenario.

1. He went out on the piss last night.

2. He didn’t go out on the piss last night and turned in that performance anyway.

We can’t get rid of him. He has 4 more years on his contract an nobody is ever going to buy him

He knows he will play every week regardless of performance due to not having another left back. Weak as piss. Shocking player, there was a reason we loaned him out before. And as for choudhury deary me.

His mistakes today cost us the game. I keep giving him the benefit of the doubt: he continuously gives his best, but it's just not good enough, even for this level. It's time for an academy player to take his place, or bring a solid left back from the outside.

Where’s his uncle who used to be on here? Can you pass on a message to stop going out every week on the piss? It’s showing in his play

He's shit but guaranteed to start on Monday.

First name on the team sheet.

The manager has been banging on how marvelous he is the minute he walked through the door.

At first I thought it was pity. Then I thought it was satire. It appears, in fact, he meant it.

Why give him the benefit of the doubt? Leicester lad? Nice guy off the pitch? Just interested, not a personal dig!

He costs us game after game. Shocking this season.

He is a professional, simply not doing his job

This infuriates me; peddling this myth that he “gives his best”. Where’s the evidence of that?!

He’s been in the team for 5 years and hasn’t improved one jot. If anything he’s regressed. If he had gained muscle, got quicker etc I may agree with you. But he hasn’t because he’s lazy!!

Don't get it. Never have. Thomas seems to be unfairly got at because he hasn't developed into another Chilwell.

He is one of our own.

He started when we won the FA Cup.

He was often asked to play out of position (left centre back) in a terrible side last season. Yet got on with it and at times was one of our better players.

Thomas is more reliable than Kristenson. His attributes are more of an asset than Kristenson's and he is a more solid defender.

He wasn't poor against Watford. No player makes absolutely zero mistakes. And he wasn't consistently beaten either. Far from it.

Without Thomas we are left with Aluko who isn't ready. He needs 20mins here and there to develop.

His 'new contract' gives us stability. We clearly can't buy in the transfer market and if he'd left we'd have been in a mess at LB with just Kristenson and Aluko.

And he is only 24. We could still get a transfer fee for him.

Thomas isn't the problem.

If you look at us in the final third we don't have the players to cause chaos in the box. We are a striker short. There simply isn't a player to cross the ball towards. We desperately need a proper striker. Hopefully, someone big and powerful that poses a threat for crosses. Then I think the whole side will look better

Nothing but for the loyalty reason alone, perhaps a sentimental attachment to the academy player, as you noted. He's consistently trying, but his utter weakness and lack of intuition in a one-on-one situations is glaringly obvious, perhaps not to our manager, but to everyone else by now.. Him and Kristensen are the worst left backs I've seen in Leicester shirts since I became a fan. He should be benched.

He’s not a footballer. How he is fumbling a career as a footballer is beyond me, genuinely, I reckon I could put in a performance like Thomas. For the love of god just try Aluko.
