Disastrous signing. there were glimpses early on of how it could work but we simply don’t play the right system for him... he’s not a vardy type player in any way... it was clear fairly early on that we were going to build the team around Vardy so for us to then buy a polar opposite doesn’t make sense to me 1

As long as the target man is happy to be utilised in that way... Not really sure why we didn't just keep Ulloa sweet instead of spunking £30m on Slimani. Would have been happy to cover Vardy at a fraction of the cost and his attitude was unquestionably better than Slims, not actually that much difference in ability either! 4
