The trail blazers of aggressive attacking 1 Day cricket, sad to see.

Sangakkara still looked like he could drop the microphone , walk out to the middle in his suit and smash the England bowlers all round the ground lol

Excellent pundit. Met him in Dubai once, cool bloke too.

BTW, Chris Woakes is such an underrated cricketer, could easily play more for England in all formats.

Unreal figures today. Hope he gets to come back to claim a fivefer.

Suffers from Nice Guy Syndrome really, in that the selection panel know he'd never kick off if dropped. More England's loss than his most of the time...

I’m not sure that he lost his place as such  for form reasons rather the arcane rotation system that seems to bedevil selection at the moment . Frankly he’s worth his place as a batsman ahead of some of the one test wonders that were picked v NZ 😆

Entire initial England squad for Pakistan series is having to isolate and a brand new one will be announced today with Stokes as captain.

Will be interesting to see the names on there, it's a great chance for some who might never have got a chance to stake a claim... I can think of a few i've seen this season who deserve the chance, problem is that's based off county T20 performances due to there being ZERO 50 over county cricket so far this summer!

Some familiar names there - some not so.

Guess Alex Hales is never going to get called up again.

Pleased to see Will Jacks in there, a serious talent!

Jake Ball though lol

Also pretty sure John Simpson is a made up regen…

Oh and Vince still getting a gig is horrific. Sam Hain has had the best average in One Day cricket for about 5 years now... lol

Think it is a little harsh of Morgan to consistently state that the door is still open for Hales, when quite clearly it isn't. Would have liked to see him in this squad - he'd be the most talented batsman there barring Malan, and think there is a point where you let bygones be bygones.

Would have liked to see Sam Hain and Laurie Evans too. Looking forward to seeing Parkinson though.

Have done a little googling to see what the whole Hales issue was, and feels like there has to be more at play than just what has been reported.

Touring England is difficult enough at the best of times but the lack of preparation for the likes of Sri Lanka and Pakistan must make it almost impossible. Hopefully India have a similar problem.

Anyway, good to see some new players take their chance with the ball.
