Trying to remember the last time i went onto BBC Sport website and the headline didn't involve the words 'England' and 'Collapse'.

To go to this, I went to Leicester for the first time since last year (nice to see my mother, like), I went on a train for the first time since the pandemic and I was in the ground, the bar and the toilets which were all heaving and lacked social distance.

 

Loads of people (the majority, by the end) just ignored the request to wear masks.

 

The train out of Birmingham was full of drunk Southerners not wearing masks, who think that Mam jokes are the height of wit.

 

It was nice to be in a crowd again, but it was a reminder that other people are quite often dicks.

Fantastic mate. Somehow managed to get sunburnt knees!

 

Just awesome to see a full crowd together. Atmosphere was tremendous too. Always wanted to see England live. Only times I’ve watched live cricket has been Leics in the T20s.

 

Shame about Root and you could see the 0s for Crawley and Bracey a mile off.

That should have been a regulation slip catch for Root. Our slip fielding in general has been below par for a couple of years now.

Feel really sorry for him actually. Has been talked up as a top order batsman but has been asked to bat at 7 (not his position at all) as a keeper (which he has pretty limited experience of in FC cricket). Admittedly his performances haven't been great but he's been put into a difficult situation and I hope he gets a proper go in the top 3 in the not too distant future.
