Gardening jobs, and related, can be quite lucrative roles - depending on who employs you to do it (or if you're self-employed), and the quality of work done and the recognition from it.

Not dissing the trade at all very satisfying job from personal experience its the HR politically correct stuff.I left /retired my firm end of Dec and had to have a leaving interview FFS..First question why are you leaving ? did I get on with other 'team 'members, what did I think of my line manager ?.When you interview for a new position its always 2 interviewers and a points system as folk can actually appeal if they dont get the job.

Pisses me off when employers don't put the salary or hourly wage in the job advert.

Seeing an apprenticeship wage will put people off applying. Isn't it like £4 per hour for an under 18?

One  doesnt have to give reasons for leaving....Any leaving Interview would be invalid...

£4.15. Goes up after a year if you're 19 years old or older, then it goes to minimum wage. **** knows how I used to survive off an apprenticeship wage, used to take home £600 every four weeks.

I suspect you're right, I just find it annoying, the wage is an important part of any job, pointless applying for it to find out you'll be on low income to then pull out further down the line.

....£600 pm, why are you complaining, more than enough for a 16 year old!!!

How much expenses are you incurring, no utilities, nominal rent. absolutely no reason to despair on that pay. Job Seekers Allowance is around £400pm, and that is with utilities, rent or deferred payment on a mortgage still incurring interest.

There is always someone worse off than you.

If they gave me the job I’d turn it into a Colombian styled coca plantation

With no supporters allowed in at the moment the club will have to explore all possible new revenue sources.
You could be a chance.

1. I wasn't 16, I was 22.

2. I wasn't moaning, just can't believe I used to survive off that compared to where I am in my career now.

3. Jobseekers is horrendous money, but that doesn't mean that apprenticeship wages shouldn't be slightly higher. Also, if you're on universal credit, you get other benefits such as housing benefit I believe? Which obviously helps.

4. Calm down:D

Fuchs to be fair I didnt have to do the leaving interview but experience has taught me never to burn bridges and keep on good terms with employers .Even though I thought my manager was an absolute waste of space It paid  not to say that as such !

Wages structure these days up to 21 is pretty decent - this is a training position imagine when you are 25 and can put LCFC on your resume
