Who said this on here?

I hadn't seen it to be honest. It's probably a joke about the level of hysteria.

With the results so far this weekend I reckon West Ham will see this as must win to get top 4 rather than one they play out for a point. Could work out either way for us.

Starting to feel like a must win with the other results and last season looming over us.

It's not must win.

It's basically the difference between us feeling comfortable or looking over our shoulder nervously and worrying about the inevitable.

100% ndidi has to be in the middle he’s nowhere near as comfortable as a centre back and having him in the middle stops numerous attacks anyway

Exactly. Also, if we play Ndidi in defence we lose an Ndidi in centre midfield so the loss is greater than the gain in my view.

It’s not a must win, but it is huge.

Even if we lose we are still in the top 4 with four favourable fixtures coming up.

Chill out everyone.

No mate. I imagine they'll try to lose to make the rest of the season  exciting.

I’m aware it’s not technically “must win”, but with last season my fear is that if we don’t we are going to be on a massive downer looking over our shoulders.

Mine too. We all need a little perspective though 👍

It's absolutely a must win in the sense that the harm a defeat will cause, on the points board, psychologically, would be absolutely devastating. Any other interpretation is semantics, if you want to be a pedant and say there's X amount of points left fine, but defeat tomorrow is absolutely inconceivable if this team wants to be playing CL football next season.

I would say it’s must not lose. Especially against 1 of our competitors for top 4.
If we did we could be out of the top 4 by the time we play our next league game.
I do think it’s a huge plus for us that both Antonio and Rice are out.

You do realise there are nuances between “not arsed if we lose” and “we HAVE to win this”.

A draw isnt the end of the world for us to be fair on the basis we get 8-10 points in the following 4 league games.

This seems an irrelevant post.

If we draw we are still 4 points clear with an chance over the next four fixtures to add a couple more points on that.

It’s a six pointer and a match that will have a huge influence on whether we finish top four, but it is not must win.

It’s not though is it?

the ‘absolute definition’ of must win is:

- we can only stay up if we win X game

- we can only win the title if we win X game

- we can only finish top 4/6 if we win X game.

none of that is true for tomorrow. It’s HUGE, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not ‘must win’

Lots of twist and turn to go ourselves, Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham and Spurs will all drop points.

I think a draw tomorrow is a good result, a win would be massive.

More pressure on West Ham, more of a most win for them after today.

There is a result in between a win and a loss, that wouldn’t be the end of the world.

When I think of must wins I think of this game. It’s absolutely a must win. Lose and it’ll be catastrophic. 6 pointer. I’d take a point though

What if we lost tomorrow and then win 5 of the final 7, what then?

So its not a must win then. The only person discussing semantics is you. 🤣
