Yep, I suspect he's done his version of 'done my best' and realised he's sod all chance of being selected (rightly or wrongly) and resided himself to the situation. He'll get games; cup ties, the odd sub appearance maybe. There's always the January window

Not to mention the addition of one of the best training grounds in Europe.

 

To have a pop at the owners and claim you've not been backed is disgraceful.

He is the most heavily backed manager in the history of the club, in terms of his personal contract, in terms of infrastructure and in terms of players. Bloke is a clown.

Savage and rio are right to think rodgers ought to be able to sort things out... except in one respect.  He has shown us all that he is unfit to be a leader . 

As such they should be able to see his time is done.

This is what I was reflecting on this morning.
 

One of the things that NP was good at was creating a siege mentality where he backed the players no matter what, deflected away from their performances and made them feel like we were all in it together, win or lose. Rodgers has screwed that through his own self-preservation and that is impacting the whole atmosphere around the club and contributing to this media narrative that we’re not strong enough to get ourselves out of this situation. That should be a sackable offence in itself - he’s now working against the club.

Don’t see how getting sacked from a job you are doing sh*t at gets you a big pay off either. Give managers 2 years max and offer them a new contact if doing well if not you don’t have the big pay outs. I know you can also lose good managers for cheap but better than being in a position like we seem to be now

Im not even sure he knows what basics are anymore- if he just went back to close to the team from 18 months ago we wouldnt even be close to getting relegated
