This is West Ham’s moment in the sun. We’ve had ours. Probably better not to directly compare them to us, they aren’t out just to challenge us, what they’re doing now doesn’t detract from our achievements, and everybody else had to watch on whilst we took on the establishment for a couple of years. Just got to suck it up.

I'm all for West Ham doing well if it's at the expense of any of the six clubs who were involved in plans for the super league.

Anyone know the odds on the hammers winning the title? Might be me worth a punt.

remember everyone said the same about us during that famous 2015/16 season!

If the hammers can keep their team intact no long term injuries they could go all the way. Hope they do. Anyway all the talk about them takes the attention of us. We need to start stringing some results together after the break. Won’t be easy against Chelski but anything is possible. COYF!

With Europe keeping their squad fit will be really hard.

Antonio and rice are playing every game and they dropped right off when both were injured last year.

It’s always January/February, when the fatigue sets in post Christmas. That’s the killer

Why do liverpool fans think they can pick the next villa manager?

Liverpool fans will think they can pick what time of day you're allowed to go for a shit if given the opportunity.

I'm staggered at how bad the refereeing is. Phillips escaping a yellow yesterday is a joke, but I've only just caught up on the Manchester derby.

How on earth has that penalty not been given against United? It's like they don't want to heap more embarrassment on them by making it 0-3.

Who do we think the next Villa manager is? Apparently they're after Stevie G. Whether or not he leaves Rangers midseason I don't know, but Villa would be a good opportunity for him.

West Ham play us next at Molineux.

We had our shit performance this week so hopefully we can give them a run for their money next week.

Is it at a neutral venue???

Denmark manager seems top of the list. Their DOF is Danish and linked to him.

Not sure whether he would be massively keen on leaving Denmark with a world cup coming up, them qualifying with absolute ease and potentially a chance of reaching latter stages again.

He will have his eyes on the Liverpool job post Klopp.

May view going Villa as a bit of a risk if it goes wrong.

But that's my point. Liverpool are more likely to appoint him if he does at Villa than he if does well at Rangers.

I think it might end up being Lampard. No mention of him yet though except possibly going to Norwich, But I couldn't see him going there.

There's way too many variables at Villa for it to go wrong (or at least not succeed). If he's confident in his ability he might go for it but he'd need some reassurance I guess that he can spend money. But what happens if he does well at Villa, takes them to around 6-7 place in the league (which is good), how is that perceived by Liverpool. It's successful in terms of who Villa are, but not amazing to underline him as a future Liverpool manager maybe.

100%. A lot of the teams scooping up points now will slide post Jan/Feb. That will probably include WH depending how deep they go in Europe. We see it every year, I don't see why this season will be different.

I'm not sure what I think about WH tbh. I tend to try and ignore the club and just praise Moyes. It wasn't that long ago their fans were ripping up their own stadium after a bad result. A massive stadium their owners get on a crazy good deal.

Rodgers turned them down then.

Yeah same here.

Obviously never going to happen but I'd love it (and the hilarious inevitable reaction on RedCafe) if they paid huge comp for Rodgers at the end of the season and we went straight out and replaced him with Ten Hag.

Again, I know this is pure fantasy. But it would be hilarious.

Not impossible if Rodgers gets the Man U job because then we might be seen as a stepping stone for managers as well as players. Come to LCFC get your PL experience show you're upto the job move to a 'bigger' club.

Ofcourse Rodgers would relish the opportunity to manage Man United, but I think he'd be on a hiding to nothing. Enough of their fans wouldn't want him anywhere them seeing as he has managed Liverpool and after our dips in form over the past two seasons which saw us miss out on qualifying for the champions league. I suspect a number of their more senior wouldn't exactly take to him either. If they end up going in for him then I would imagine that it would have something to do with SAF. He's apparently an admirer of Rodgers.

It's absolutely possible that Rodgers will go to United. Think there's a fairly reasonable chance he's managing somewhere in Manchester by the start of the season after next.

But Ten Hag doesn't need to manage Leicester to get a move to an elite club. What he's been doing with Ajax in the Champions League alone pretty much guarantees he's out of our reach. He'll wind up being the next coach of someone like Bayern or one of our big four eventually.
