2nd Best season in our history

Before all the negative bastards on the match thread take over, it’s worth remembering this is the second best season in our history.

5th in the league

FA Cup Winners and another trip to Europe to look forward to.

This on the back of a relatively small squad, where bar Tielemans and Kasper every player has spent significant time on the sidelines.

We are progressing in the right direction, more points season on season!

 

Despite the way it has ended I couldn’t be prouder to be a Fox this Season!

I wish people would allow a few minutes at least for people to be frustrated before the passive-aggressive rationality has to kick in.

 

Supporting a football club is an emotional experience, everybody will come to appreciate the achievements of this season in due course. Today it’s more than reasonable to be frustrated and not

see the bigger picture.

 

Nothing against you @Aus Fox. Just seen so much of this recently and it’s not a reasonable expectation of a set of football fans 2 minutes after a really disappointing defeat.

Didn’t take an FA Cup with it did we?

To me football is about winning things, which is what makes this season better.

All in all, a fantastic season. Our second greatest ever.  We’ve won the FA cup, finally and finished 5th in the league. Of course we’re all

disappointed now, especially with the position we were in with 15 minutes to go. Their second equaliser was a huge psychological blow out there. 
 

Time for the lads to get a good rest in.

None taken, just part of the frustration at the minute for me is the amount of negative comments coming from all quarters- bottle jobs, not good enough, shit etc.

Having watched Leicester at their lowest points, in front of a few thousand at Filbo. I am incredibly proud of what Leicester City Football Club are doing at the minute both on and off the field.

We are “supporters” of a team that has achieved more than most could’ve dreamed of. I wish people could control their emotions and show some respect.

It is a great season, but again how many opportunities do we need to break the top 4. The defeat today was worse than last season. I will get over it once the nee season starts, but that was crap

Agree with all of this.

 

However surely you must be disappointed to go all Spursy yet again and throw away CL football?

It's not missing out that's so bad, it's missing out after you're secure and odds on to finish there with most of the season done. Ah well. At least we're not in the conference league

It’s all about how you finish 

ascend to 5th and say it’s a great finish and talk about History.

Descend from 3rd and blow another massive points lead for a second season and it kinda takes the edge of it.

Reflecting on the season as a whole, considering how shit we've been second half of the season we've achieved a lot.

 

Think we've been ridiculously unlucky with injuries and stopped ourselves getting top 4 but winning an fa cup and coming 5th is still a very good achievement.

**** off, everybody is hurt. Nobody would make anyone feel bad about feeling disappointed. But if you're channeling that into anger at the manager or players who've delivered the FA Cup and a 5th place finish in spite of a string of injuries to crucial players in key moments then you're being an absolute twat and need to be told that.

Just because we don’t cry like babies and call all the players and manager bottlers doesn’t mean we don’t have passion and want us to win.

It means we are realistic and enjoying the richest, most successful ever period in our history and respect those achievements.
