Well done Ladies, fully deserved.  A few shaky moments towards the end, but we should have been 3 or 4 up by then.  We are certainly improving, although the decision making and final ball in the attacking third of the pitch needs to improve more.

...Hope Powell being the coach of Brighton, you would have expected a better shape and technical ability!!!

Brighton were nowhere near as good as I would have expected them to be, they could end up getting pulled down the league, nothing of note upfront and lacked composure as much as we do.

Molly Pike (#8) came into the game when the opposition were tiring and made two really incisive passes for Sigsworth who once again fluffed her lines. With Pike's lack of contribution through most of the game, perhaps she could come on as a impact sub.

Villa at Home then Birmingham away are our next two fixtures. 4 points from those two and avoiding defeat against Birmingham would be a great outcome

I thought that was relatively comfortable - it really felt that it was a question of whether Leicester could find a goal as they kept Brighton at arm's length pretty well, even when they were pressing more at the end.

It's still early days for Lydia Bedford but she does seem to have made a real difference.

Also, it's nice to see a Leicester keeper dealing well with corners!

Great win, if we can beat villa and that brings them into it and then avoid defeat to birmingham we’re rocking and rolling.

I thought we played well and deserved the win, though viably tiring towards the end, they did find something in the last few minutes to secure the win. Felt the atmosphere was quite good today, especially towards the end when they needed our support to see it through.

We do seem to lack pace up front however. I thought De-Graf was good, especially in the first half offering something on the break out wide, and Plumptre as reliable as ever though maybe should have had a goal.

Not surprised Brighton nothing special as I always saw Hope Powell as a v uninspiring England  manager.

I've seen criticism of Pike before but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount she got involved - was  lively and fast in covering, tackling and chasing back.  By contrast, I found Tierney in particular v slow to turn and react in midfield.  In fact for much of he first half our midfield were much slower than theirs to the second balls.  I must watch the games more closely in future :sweating:

Overall, though, a very committed and gritty performance, and moments of quality.

Great 3 points, 2 for 2 at the KP under Bedford as well.

If we can keep playing like that and get the likes of Devlin, PBG & Barker 100% fit we’ll have a much nicer second half of the season.

3 points next week and there’s a real chance of Villa being sucked into it.

Edit:

Highlights are on The Women's Football Show on BBC One after MOTD2

Can you turn up on day buy tickets on gate? Thinking of taking the kids they're only 4, but thinking the smaller crowd would be good for their first time.

Yes, buy them from the window next to the club shop. I was picking ac couple up that had been left for us and planned to buy another one however a lovey lady behind me had one spare and gave us that.

Well done ladies. Great result. It feels like that was significant.

...Birmingham had a tough one yesterday, we do not want them to start picking up points here and there!!!

We have to play them again and hope we get the victory that could put us somewhat out of their reach.

It is nowhere near going to be decided by our next head to head with Birmingham, we are going to need points from elsewhere.

Agreed. Need to keep progressing but right direction definitely.
