Nice to see our ladies winning, but very much still in the balance. Quality from both teams is really poor, our goalkeeper seems to think we are playing drop back goalies. She looks like she could drop a clanger at any time.  One thing is for sure, if we are going to keep defending from the half way line for the rest of the season, we are going to take some very big tonkings in the coming games.

....it is a right scrappy do...!!!

Nice to see Tash Flint getting more involved, even if she has to come deep to do so. She is one player who seems to know what she is doing and what is needed in a situation. De Graff has been effective on the right side and if she had a bit more pace she probably would not be with us.

Plumptre looks really good with space and the play infront of her, might be she could actually play in midfield, she just seems so much poorer when she has to do the defensive stuff.

We do seem to be passing for passing sake as opposed to see the openings we have created with our movement and take advantage of it. Lambourne needs to stay on her line, she is causing more trouble rushing out, she does not kick well and any block could result in the ball flying into an open net.

We will have to wrest the initiative back as we were under the cosh at the end of the half.

Massive 3 points that. Ideally we need to pick up a couple more points against the likes of Villa at Home before the return fixture against Birmingham and avoiding defeat could be enough to stay up

Huge victory though Birmingham are basically a Championship team, and Leicester showed last season that they can handle Championship teams!

The return fixture is on Feb 6th and Leicester could be in a stronger position by then - being off the bottom may well help with recruitment in January (with the big proviso of any worthwhile signings being available), and I think it's acknowledged within women's football that Leicester are supporting their women's team more than Birmingham which should help in that regard too.  Leicester also have easier fixtures after the restart, so it's looking a lot more rosy.

....very much so!!!

We are going to get better with our shape and movement, we do tend to adopt the men's team of playing around at the back, it looks a liability but we could get better at it. We did look poor when Birmingham up their work rate and tempo and we struggled to stay with them.
