....it is a right scrappy do...!!!

Nice to see Tash Flint getting more involved, even if she has to come deep to do so. She is one player who seems to know what she is doing and what is needed in a situation. De Graff has been effective on the right side and if she had a bit more pace she probably would not be with us.

Plumptre looks really good with space and the play infront of her, might be she could actually play in midfield, she just seems so much poorer when she has to do the defensive stuff.

We do seem to be passing for passing sake as opposed to see the openings we have created with our movement and take advantage of it. Lambourne needs to stay on her line, she is causing more trouble rushing out, she does not kick well and any block could result in the ball flying into an open net.

We will have to wrest the initiative back as we were under the cosh at the end of the half.

Apart from a spell towards the end of the first half birmingham didn’t really cause us any trouble. I thought we were more composed, kept our focus better in defence and showed the odd moment of quality and flair. Hopefully we can pick up a few points elsewhere now before we meet again.

The one advantage we can offer any potential signings in January is our facilities, having a dedicated training ground for the women is a huge plus, if we show ambition and get in a strong position to stay up hopefully that can sway players to join.

And maybe attract players from successful sides not just struggling ones and those in the stiffs that aren't used to winning every week

So basically if we don't lose to Birmingham again we stay up?

If they don’t pick up any more points between now and the end of the season.

Hopefully though we can pick something more up along the way and take the pressure off ourselves and particularly for that game in feb.

Hopefully gives them some confidence to probably not win but to convert those last minute losses they have had recently into draws.
It’s all about getting just a couple more points away from Birmingham then hopefully win the return leg with them although don’t really want to have to go to that game with it being a winner stays up crap shoot, they only 2pts clear they need a couple of draws, if they can’t win obviously.

I’ve not been following this until I recently read a few articles on the BBC about us. Pity the step up was too much for the Morgan family. I didn’t realised Heskey is the director of football development. It’s great to see a local former player who helped us out with administration then go to succeed with the club again. Hopefully the new manager can spark us to more victories and safety. I’ll try to catch a few matches.

An Exciting Project, Says Goodwin - https://www.lcfc.com/tv/2439957/an-exciting-project-says-goodwin

- LCFC Women acquire registration of Missy Goodwin
- Eighteen-year-old came through the ranks of Birmingham City and Aston Villa
- The attacker is an England Under-19 international

Having come through the ranks of Birmingham City and Aston Villa academies as a youngster, Missy made her senior debut on 17 November, 2021, in Villa's fixture against Sheffield United in the FA Continental Tyres League Cup.

Speaking to LCFC TV about the move, she said: “It’s really exciting. It’s been good to get going. It’s a great environment and the facilities speak for themselves.

“I just think it’s a club that has got great ambitions and the process that they have been through so far just to get into the Super League is fantastic and it’s something that I couldn’t wait to join.”

Internationally, Goodwin has also represented England at various youth levels – including the Under-19s - following her positive performances with Aston Villa’s Academy teams.

She will now link up with the team ahead of Sunday's visit to Reading in the Barclays FA Women's Super League.

Yes, brum v arse on sky. Hopefully good win for us and a tonking for birmingham.

Much more confidence in the second of those hopes than the first!  It depends how much the win last time out inspires Leicester, but I can see it being a similar story to most of the season - ultimately futile resistance.

No, no. I’ve got a good feeling about today. :scarf:
