Not sure Youri really suits their style anyway. Their style just demands runners in midfield. One of the reasons that Thiago looks out of place in their team.

I always thought Youri would be a weird signing for them, especially to replace Wijnaldum as he just non stop runs... they could do with Hamza

Tbh if we got £80m and he moves abroad I can barely begrudge him a move, Real Madrid would suit him.

I will however be absolutely mortified to see him in a Liverpool shirt and would rather clap with shit in my hands

Not only Locatelli, Juve tries for Tielemans

THE SITUATION - After years of living under the cumbersome label of the predestined, now Tielemans seems to have reached the moment of definitive consecration. The season with Leicester was exciting on an individual level, 51 appearances and 9 goals are just two of the numbers that certify the leap in quality made by the Belgian. And then Juve, who have also followed him since the time of Anderlecht, now try it even though they know it will not be easy. For at least ten days the work of Cherubini and his team has proceeded with the entourage of Tielemans, guaranteeing a leading role in Max Allegri's new tactical project and a long as well as rich contract : at least 5 million net plus bonuses will be needed, a figure that Juve is willing to put on the plate. At least, also because that is already the salary on which Leicester himself worksto unlock the negotiation for the renewal of the contract in stand-by for some time. Juve fits into this, finding fertile ground in the player's entourage, aware, however, of the resistance of the English club itself : the contract expires on 30 June 2023, but Leicester for now raises the wall and makes it clear that it has no intention. to let go of Tielemans. Complicated but real goal.

I don't think Juve would spend what we would ask for Tielmans, he just isn't a big enough name for them to splash the cash. And they would never match our salary offer.

Juventus is a realistic option for Youri. I would prefer that if he was to leave that he goes abroad.

Yep if he decides to leave it’s got to be abroad for me

Article suggests that they are already willing to match whatever we are offering Youri - 5 million after tax, 9 million a year before tax, around 175k a week initially

I wouldn't put it past them to spend big on Youri, especially if Allegri wants to and was promised he could refresh the squad and amongst rumours Ronaldo could be on his way that is a lot of money freed up for them to spend

Im not to sure on that one, they're owned by Exor, so have the money. Last season spent they spent €70m on Arthur (though that was a dodgy deal with Pjanic)

Aren't they facing sanctions for their involvement and reluctance to remove themselves from the ESL.

I know the 9 who changed their minds had miserly financial punishments. However, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid have remained firm in their commitment to the project.

It is likely UEFA will grow a pair and ban them, alongside a transfer ban and fine.

Well perhaps not.

UEFA have actually delayed proceedings against the 3 at the moment

So looks like no fines, bans or anything for the upcoming season

Juve are looking to offload Ramsey who's on big money, so doubt matching what we could offer would be much of a problem. Could they put up the transfer fee is the question?
Di Mazio reported Manuel Locatelli was their main midfield target a few days ago and hopefully that's the case.

I don't think they would be able to put the fee up.  They look ****ed financially at the moment as do most clubs of this Super Dooper League fiasco.

While I’m sure Juve might be able to just about offer Youri a competitive wage (with Ramsey likely off and possibly Ronaldo) Leicester will want a big fee that’s where they’ll fail just like Roma did when they tried to sign Mahrez. Saying that I’d rather Youri ply his trade abroad rather than working his magic against us.

Ah, they don’t give a damn about the player’s name. They brought in Weston McKennie last season when he wasn’t linked with any other big club.

A little thread explaining his lap of honour on his own after the final game that had people (myself included) questioning if it was a goodbye

No way he'd want to take that much of a step-down.

And who in their right mind would move away from the high-life he's living at Leicester? Shopping at Beaumont Leys, Fosse Park, Highcross and Haymarket? And Leicester market too? World renowned mate.

What we'd ask from a foreign club would probably differ from someone in this country. They've spent 200-250m Euros on Melo, de Light and Higuain in recent years, so they aren't scared of spending. Just depends what their current situation is and whether they are cashing out on anyone.

I could see us accepting a £55m+ bid form a foreign team, especially if the player says he wants to go.
