And who in their right mind would move away from the high-life he's living at Leicester? Shopping at Beaumont Leys, Fosse Park, Highcross and Haymarket? And Leicester market too? World renowned mate. To be honest around Piedmont is meant to be pretty rubbish.
UHDrive Posted 15 June 2021 Posted 15 June 2021 (edited) I knew it all along, obviously. Now give him a new deal please and the captains armband. 5yr deal just under £200k p/w, and use his 'fee' on some of the half dozen other positions needs in the squad. Edited 15 June 2021 by UHDrive Factual
Popular Post yorkie1999 Posted 15 June 2021 Popular Post Posted 15 June 2021 So all these rumours about him leaving and that was his parting gift to the fans etc basically came about because no-one told him that everyone else was doing a lap of honour. Charming. 5
dbtcity Posted 16 June 2021 Posted 16 June 2021 The Daily Star has a little article about us pulling out all the stops to try and keep him by offering him a 4 year 150k a week deal when he returns from the Euros that will put him on par with Kasper,Vards and Madders 1

Les-TA-Jon Posted 16 June 2021 Posted 16 June 2021 Is Maddison really on similar wage to Kasper and Vards!?

Id go for £180k (ish) p/w on a 5 year deal just to raise the selling fee assuming that next summer the pandemic has gone and European clubs have more cash flow. I think he's earnt it too as he manages the flow of the game in terms of speed and right to left and left to right play.
VLC86 Posted 16 June 2021 Posted 16 June 2021 Madders on £110k a week is another reason why I would sell him if offered £50m. 4
Blue ROI Posted 16 June 2021 Posted 16 June 2021 Wouldn't Youri have done the lap of honour at the end of 2018/19 after the Chelsea game? 1

Countinho, Pereira, Ziyech etc there are cheaper options but equally, when Barnes is back we may not even have room for an AM. I can’t see it happening and I wouldn’t proactively look to sell but for that money I wouldn’t be worried like I would if Youri, Wilf, Barnes, JJ, Evans, Kasper were to leave.

Leeds Fox Posted 17 June 2021 Posted 17 June 2021 Giving Youri a huge wage increase makes sense for us. Besides the fact that we get to keep hold of him. It’s likely we’re only going to be paying him whatever it is for one season. Also, the more we give him, the more likely he will be to sign for an extra 2 years rather than 1. It’ll raise his transfer fee too. Only the true huge clubs will be able to come in for him; and we can absolutely rinse them (knowing they can pay). 1
MGLCFC Posted 17 June 2021 Posted 17 June 2021 Hope he looks at the signings that are imminent and thinks this is the place to be. 1
Popular Post gerblod Posted 18 June 2021 Popular Post Posted 18 June 2021 I check out BBC Red Button every morning, whilst eating my usual blini/caviar/champagne breakfast. First port-of-call is the football headlines gossip. After weeks of Tielemans non-goss, they include an entry sourced from 'Leicestershire Live' - mentioning Youri being of interest to, you guessed it, Liverpool and United. This isn't even a no smoke without fire situation - it's pure rumour invention. There's not even a spark of truth to it. What bmp is that it's a Leicester paper including this nonsense as worthy of printing. I'd expect at least that, given his importance to City, the Mercury would play down this kind of hype and concentrate on factuality. The truth is though that the Leicester Mercury belongs to the Reach group whose other publications include the Mirror and the Sunday Mirror - which have a vested interest in fomenting rumour of this kind. It also owns the Liverpool Echo and the Manchester Evening News. News sells papers - fake sensationalist news sells more. Avoid this crap. 5
