Kane wasn't great when he was here, for Van Aanholt certainly was class and i think we missed him in the following season in that position. Nathan Dyer was interesting only played like 4-5 games for the foxes, but out of it got a premier league medal. Just imagine instead of bringing in Jermaine Beckford in that window of 2011 we used the money to keep Yakabu at the club and had striker partnership of Yakubu and Nugent. Would have been much better partnership.

van Aanholt was terrible for us!

Kyle Naughton on the other hand was superb at the time and we certainly missed him.the following season.

Even with cleverly he looked ok! Nothing outstanding! The best loan player I saw by a country mile was Mark Davies. I remembering hearing he had a standing ovation away at old Trafford and anfield when he transferred over to Bolton!

Anyone remember Kerrea Gilbert when we were in League 1? Thought he was fantastic. Just looked him up and he basically never played again. Retired aged 26.

Gelson Fernandes, Michael Keane and Marcus Bent.

How could I forget Gelson, he was great signing just a shame ended so quick for some reason Pearson didn't rate him.

Kane and Lingard were absolutely shit on loan here though.

Yes, I agree, but perhaps I didn't word the title very well. The loan XI would be these players at their best throughout their career, not necessarily their time at Leicester. Apologies.

Surely:

Fulop

Van Annolt

Keane

Kee

Naughton

Bruma

Linn

Lingard

Cleverley  - Should have been Michael Johnson but he fell off!

Dyer

Kane

Yakubu

I don't think Pearson's opinion had any bearing on it. I think Gelson only joined because Sven was manager.

Who would make your team of loanees we never signed permanently?

Fulop

Naughton

Vitor

Dragavic

Van Arnholt

Lingard

Davies (Mark)

Bruma

Kamara

Kane

Yakubu

Midfield would be a diamond with Bruma at the base, Lingard and Kamara wide and Davies at the top.

I can't believe I've got this far down and no one has mentioned Kevin Campbell for Yakubu.

I remember us really wanting to keep Lee Hendrie in the season we were relegated to league one lol

He came in and showed more fight and determination in a couple of games than a majority of the contracted squad. Scored a decent match winning goal against Scunthorpe at home too.

Look how far we’ve come! lol

Genuinely thought we could turn it around when we signed Lee Hendrie on loan from Sheff Utd, a sign of intent. He was decent to be fair, we were just a sinking ship

Kevin Cambell

Came to say this.

He was head and shoulders above anyone else in these teams. Far too good for us and the one bright spark of the Pleat era.
