We'll probably go out against whoever comes through our path from Group F. Even if we win our group and somehow beat second place of Group F it'd then be over in Rome vs Spain. So quarters at best.

Belgium and Spain could throw a huge spanner in the works. Turkey are a real dark horse, could honestly see them making the semi's over on their side of the draw.

Gonna be very interesting to see how the format changes and multi-country aspect of it effects things.

have you seen spain recently. shocking side in comparsion with their past teams

Just think along with the Dutch if you look at their groups it's possible for one of them to build up some confidence and form early on and roll with it. Spain aren't a bad side at all, they demolished Germany 6-0 last year and are unbeaten for a while, they're savvy too so it's risky to underestimate those two.

Another huge thing to consider this tournament that I've not looked into fully is scheduling and the travel involved between matches. Some teams are going to have it alot harder than others, one of England's main strengths should come from many of our matches essentially being at home.

Why I mention this is because if you look at the fixtures which came to play in the 2018 World Cup; what groups played who, who had to travel where and when - it undoubtedly played a huge role in the performance and standard of football from many of the teams.

I ended up with Italy to beat Portugal in the final.

Just watched Germany beat Latvia. I know they’re ranked 130 odd in the world, but the goals Germany scored were quality goals that would beat most sides. Germany v Belgium final for me with France v Italy in the wooden spoon. England...no where again, Kane with his usual 6 penalties, although I don’t think they should be counted, for the golden boot.

It was Latvia. For us (Germany) it was good to get some goals under our belt especially Muller, Sane and Werner (and I agree, a lot of good team goals). However, France and Portugal are different teams and we always concede goals. I would be surprised to see us anywhere near the final and I also don't think Belgium will get far this time round. France are big favourites and rightly so. Portugal could go on a good run again, England have it in them if they can grind out results, they will not be heavily beaten by anyone. Italy may not be ready yet but again, they are always hard to beat and are capable of going far. Germany could go far or could go home after 2 weeks (I am expecting to just about get out the group but not much further, QF max).

Then there are the potential surprise packages, Denmark, Turhey, Ukraine etc. Looking forward to this tournament as it is wide open.

You’re probably right but I always think it’s goals and the ability to score goals that get you a long way in tournaments and considering Germany have got half the Chelsea squad playing for them, I think they’ll go far

Rudiger has had a good few months so hopefully he can help us at the back. Havertz may have found some confidence through the winning goal in the CL final. Werner has missed a lot of chances but he still helps the team and creates, if he can take his chances things may look better. Germany have struggled to score goals for a while now so if they can find the knack, then it is possible we could go a bit further. Fine margins as always will decide a lot of games.

England look to have a very difficult task of going far in this, it yet again relies on us coming 2nd in the group which is definitely possible but I think we'll either win the group or struggle for 3rd and potentially bomb out so that then means we face one of Germany, France or Portugal in the last 16 and its goodbye.
