Trouble is, one careless owner

We have two young CBs in Benko and Knight and we are paying them pretty well. It would be silly not to use them . Another loan is a waste of time so if in the end Rodgers can't see a place for them, price them to go and let them get on with their careers.

Surely by now we know the answer to their suitability?

You would have thought so but Knight has had his contract extended.

Wrong. It would be silly to use them. You can’t seriously think either have shown they can play top 6 football?

I would suggest in Knights case that we feel there is enough money to be made from selling him, rather than playing him. Benkovic no idea.

Correct (Knight). Benkovic I imagine we’ll try and offload too.

No more than 2 million each or they will get no offers.

I think Knight is worth more than 2 million currently. For that kind of money he can certainly replace Morgan in the squad while he continues to improve.

He can also play in midfield if needed so he has something to offer.

As for Benkovic sell him to Celtic as part of the Edouard transfer.

I thought he did pretty well considering it was mainly one way traffic, seemed to have a good long ball on him, and had one rampaging run when he was nearly the hero.

Would probably sit more comfortably on the left of a 3 than our current lot, but surely we need more experience.

Didn’t look so raw today - against the world champions…

Impressive today. As well as his heeding ability, looks composed on the ball.

Probably our last chance to see him today, I can see why his name has cropped up in reports.

From nasty Orban-land to Boris's fantasy island, hard to know if that is progress or what. lol

Will cost at least €20m

Making statements about the general situation of the club and transfers before the election to be held in Fenerbahçe, Ali Koç stated that while Edin Dzeko denied his claims, they would demand at least 20 million euros for Attila Szalai, who stood out with his performance in EURO 2020.

Stating that they would not go below 20 million Euros in case of an offer for Attila Szalai, who entered the radar of big clubs with his performance in the Hungarian National Team in the European Championship, Koç said, "For Attila Szalai, under 20 million Euros is not even talked about!" he said.

It's not about the transfer fee, in Benkovic's case anyway. Who's going to pay him what Leicester currently are? There won't be a queue of clubs anyway.

Fenerbache want Ghezzal do they not.....

Fenerbahçe would like to have Ghezzal as he has proven himself in Turkish Leauge but Ghezzal would not want to play for Fenerbahçe as Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe are two biggest rivals of the country. Seems difficult bargain

I don't see why that follows. Chilwell proved his worth on loan at Huddersfield before becoming a player good enough to be recruited by Chelsea. Vardy was in non-League. Knight has excelled at Wycombe in a difficult season for them. We'll never know if he's good enough unless he is given a chance.

Leicester: Foxes now monitoring Attila Szalai -Leicester City News

Listen to this article

Leicester City are now monitoring Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai, according to reports.

THE LOWDOWN: SZALAI PROFILED
The Hungarian only arrived in the Super Lig last January but has quickly established himself as a rock at the heart of Jorge Jesus’ backline.

Despite still having three years remaining on his contract, his impressive performances appear to have caught the eye of a trio of English clubs, and the Foxes have been name-checked as one of those who are keen on bringing him to the Premier League.

According to Turkiye Gazetesi (via Sport Witness), Leicester, alongside Newcastle United and West Ham, are all ‘following’ Szalai ahead of a potential move in 2023.

The threesome are said to be ‘closely monitoring’ the 6 foot 3 centre-back who has the top flight ‘in his heart’.

Fenerbahce are aware that they will ‘not be able to keep him’ for long because his ‘desire is to leave’ at the end of the season.

Maybe they’d be interested in swapping him for a Turkish international… that could help soften the blow for them!

That deal would make far too much sense! Plus they can arrange a free transfer for Cags in January anyway
