Villa making some decent signings this window.

Losing Grealish though, be interesting to see how much of a loss he is going to be for them

We're not buying a winger, or we be putting bids in by now

We could be putting in bids, club like to keep things quiet, we all thought Edouard was going to be the one and then Daka came out of nowhere

Still 4 and a half weeks left of the transfer window yet

Good point. Grealish to Man City has been such an ongoing saga I'd genuinely forgotten about it.

I don’t know much about Bailey but losing Grealish is a huge loss for Villa, no guarantees this guy hits the ground running.

I still think we get someone in on loan.

Villa putting together a good squad, perhaps another season to fill out a few more gaps and they should do well.

Not seen much of Bailey in Germany, but he was brilliant for Genk.

Whilst we look frighteningly weak for wide attacking options 🙄

Well we’ll just have to go through the middle then!

Berardi is out of are price range , Bailey at Aston villa now, West Ham will most likely get pereira, Looks like we get no winger this year, or another shit one on loan again

He's been massively inconsistent in Germany. A couple of seasons with like 16 odd goal contributions and a couple of seasons with near fvck all.

They’ll have £100m to prob play with next week when they sell Grealish to Man City !

17 in his last season

8 19/20

6 18/19

15 17/18

So they are buying him after his most successful season, better than buying him after 2 poor seasons

I thought he looked a great talent at Genk.

Watching this though, I think he’ll struggle.

Doesn't Sowah have better stats in Belgium than him?

Hes very hit or miss in Germany. Not sure, for 30m he could be a bit if a gamble.

Rodgers definitely would want a 2 way winger too.

Don’t know, all I know is I watched quite a bit of Genk when we were linked with Ndidi and he was unreal. Made so much happen.

Just had a look. Very comparable.

Sowah - 34 games, 8 goals, 5 assists

Bailey - 44 games, 5 goals 13 assists.

There are a few comments on here that Villa are putting together a strong squad, but that is only true if Grealish stays. Everything they do goes through him and he provides all of their creativity. Without him they need to develop a completely different style of play whatever the quality of the replacements they have found.
