Seems like we want him. I’m excited by the idea. We have to be a more exciting prospect for him than a Villa side without Grealish? But they are probably making him feel very wanted.

And crucially able to pay a higher fee than us …..

Ha!

You’re looking in the wrong place, I’m afraid.

By which I mean the internet, not just on here.

If you want a balanced option, come to me. I’m balanced in my compete ignorance of the situation. There’s nine pages and all I’ve gleaned is that he might be a right winger, and could be a good one. I am fake news’s antichrist.

He's had 2 seasons from 4 in the Bundesliga where he has scored and assisted more than 15 for the season. I don't think he's worth £40m with only 2 years left on his deal but he's a damn good player.

Yeah I agree he is a decent player. For £20-25m it’s a good buy, but they’re looking for significantly more than that. For the money it sounds like it would take, I’d rather go for Berardi or Madueke over him.

For me Berardi is the best option for a player in his prime right now, and excels the others in all but one or two aspects - most notably his age and his relative lack of pace. But he is a proper two-way winger, can do everything and works very hard too. For a player to develop, Madueke looks like he could go to the very top, and I’d prefer to go for him over Bailey.

The more this drags on the more I fear we'll just take a punt on someone like the Under experiment. I hope we get the right guy and we get him soon so we can move on and focus 100% with pre-season prep.

There aren't that many left footed right wingers out of favour at their clubs. David Brooks is possibly one we could end up turning to with less than a year left on his contract and Bournemouth not back in the PL.

It'll take a panic buy at the end for a player out of favour of a club desperate for the player to move. Viktor would be a tough deal to do late on, he's got everything we are after though. I think too many are put off by the leagues he's from though.

I take it you mean Tsygankov. How much would he cost realistically? Have no idea whether he would be likely to step up to the Prem.

Under was out of favour at Roma and Leicester last season.

Last year they were asking over £30m with everyone doing the usual "get it done: and "pay whatever" comments.

Now I reckon we could get for a lot cheaper this year. Surely if interested last year we'd want him now if we could get for cheaper?

My Bournemouth supporting workmate says he was poor last season and he’d be surprised if anyone came in for him.

This may well be true, but I bet there will be a fair number of such panicked sales as teams realize they may not be able to move players to subsidize new player purchases they have already brought in, or even to simply balance the books places like L1. That is, we'll see much more of that than usual. Lots of teams playing pretend right now who are going to start sweating if nobody comes in on players they had counted on selling. Always worrisome to leave things late, but I hope we have some liquidity for opportunities close to the deadline, I suspect some good ones will present themselves.

I don't want this lad tbh

You also said you didn’t want Maddison to ever play for us again after the Covid party 😝

Leon Bailey would be very good for us.

Is this danjuma it brookes? Brookes is a fraud. No idea why people wanted him last season.

Based on the little I saw of him, looked a shadow of his pre-injury self. Better options for us out there
