I may be wrong but I don't believe players on scholarship deals can be loaned out

Sure they can. My mate was at Derby and did his cruciate, when he got back got fit, he was sent out on loan to notts County for game time.

I was staggered to learn he’s still 17 years old! To play that well at that age was seriously impressive. I’d be shocked if he’s not in the first team in a few years time. He’s got a bit of a lanky build but with the right training and diet program he’ll probably build muscle.

I expect he’ll go on loan to the Championship for all of next season then might be in with a shout at being in the first team squad.

Both he and Maswanise looked impressive I thought and show that our academy is doing a good job.

You say lanky, but I did see him floor Lyndon dyke yesterday if I’m not mistaken who is a bit of a unit!

like you say though the academy looks to be doing a brill job - just hope they make the right choice for him.

Well you can still be strong despite having a build like that. But what I’m getting at is he’s a bit like Harvey Barnes a few years ago. The sports science team have done well with Barnes and now he’s barrel chested and strong, whereas before he was pushed off the ball a lot.

Thomas, Nelson, Maswanise are all still teenagers so are still developing. They’ll be fully ready in a few years time though they can still play at a high level in the meantime.

Shades of Johnny Evans about this lad. He looks a real prospect as mentioned. Would be fantastic to see him push his way in to first team squad in next 12 months. I remember Dawson at Forest broke through around 17/18 and was unreal for his age, fingers crossed 🤞

Impressive on the ball, the classic need for modern high level centre backs. Its good to see us be able to bring through some quality looking younger players as there was a bit of a barron spell, so it shows the money invested must be working in areas.

Lincoln city, Would be perfect

Fully agree, great shout. Just a case of Lincoln hoping they're good enough for a promotion push.

Lincoln strike me as a good club to loan to. The same way Luton are.

I have quite liked the look of Nelson.

Perez does not have the genes to be barrel chested, no matter how much he bench presses! Will always have the build of a teenager skater boy.

For a lad who only turned 17 in March, is height, build and most importantly the composure on / passing of the ball, he looks a really really good prospect.

I thought he looked at least 20+ years old...... stunned to learn his real age.

It's rare for us to have a player barely 17 ready for the first team but I think this lad isn't far off. I know the club have immersed him with the first team now for at least a year so he's very, very highly thought of.

Lincoln are a team I follow, owing to living there a while. They've a good setup and I think they're aiming for Championship. The owner has done wonders over the last few years - two promotions from non league and a JPT cup win.

Good club to go to and not far for scouts to travel.

He's only 17, would be very happy to keep him close to the first team this year as he continues to physically develop and send him out on loan when he is perhaps less slight of build and less likely to get injured, next season. What do I know though

The 'L'-club alliance :D  (Leicester, Luton and Lincoln.)  If we need a L2 club, there's Leyton Orient, aswell? :D
