I'd be happy with this, he's a very good technical player and a solid 7 every week for Burnley. With more freedom and quality around him he could be a very canny signing.

He would be more along the 30m mark imo. At that price I'd rather go in for Ismaila Sarr who is valued at 35-40m. Although I do rate McNeil a lot, looks a really good young prospect. If he is £20m then snap him up.

....why would you have McNeil....!!!

Reports going round that Burnley have accepted 15million bid from villa.

....If that is true, which I very much doubt, then that would make us the worst negotiating team in the world!!!

Say what you want about McNeill but I’d rather have him than Perez at this point, maybe we could give them Hamza on loan to sweeten the deal?

McNeill has played a few times on the right but I’ve always thought he had promise the times I’ve seen him drift in from that wing. I get he’s not set the league alight but he does play in one of the most basic and defensive teams in the league.

They haven't.

😅 that’s saying a lot Ric. If it’s true Burnley are prepared to do business, would it be the end of the world for you if he was the wide man we brought in? I’m struggling to see who else is realistic/affordable at this point in the transfer window.

Depends on the price. I'd be annoyed at anything over £10m (they'd want more than treble that) as there's plenty of better wingers we could get for that money, we've already opted not to get several in that price bracket too.

Probably. Would not touch McNeil or Ismaila Sarr for a penny more than 15-20 mil.

He’ll go to Villa for £30 and we’ll all be relieved it wasn’t us that paid that, then he’ll tear it up and be declared the signing of the season by the media.

I see that Burnley signed Aaron Lennon on a free transfer yesterday.  May be an indication that they might be willing to let McNeil go if they get a good offer?

I can't imagine McNeil being worth more than £15mil. I'd have him as a no.2 behind Berardi though.

...why would you buy a player for that price to be an understudy, when the argument is we have no money for transfers!!!

Bringing in McNeil to play on the right is the equivalent of Arsenal buying Ndidi to use him as a Centre Half, he may have played the position now and then but it is not his proper position.

Again?? lol They're a ****ing parody at this point aren't they. Going to be a movie in 20 years time about how Burnley managed to stay in the Premier League for eternity with the worst squad imaginable.

Why do I keep seeing this guy's name? He's not good enough for us.

Anyone who rates him has simply watched a highlight reel somewhere.

Please just watch him in a full football match. You'll be begging for Gray/Ghezzal/Perez back!

Would guess they probably will sell McNeil to finance Cornet and any other incomings they have though. You'd assume Cornet will play where McNeil did anyway (I know he's a left back but plays a lot LM too and Burnley love a defensive winger!)
