I thought the Eternals was alright but I guess it helps going into it hearing everyone calling it terrible but then it not actually being too bad.

Moon Knight could be great if it isn’t too Disney

Could be wrong in the end, but it really doesn’t look “Disney” to me.

Patrick Stewart back as Professor X!

Looks great so far. Also lots of rumours of alternate variants of certain heroes we've already seen in the MCU. There's certainly a hint of Iron Man/Ultron in those guards escorting Strange.

Also intrigued to see if there's any link between Prof. X and Wanda (especially if Prof. X's return also allows for Magneto to return). Might also pave the way for Evan Peters to return as Quicksilver.

Cannot wait to see some of the variants, be interesting to see who is in the supposed Illuminati group (which Prof X is part of)

There was also a different video shown at Super Bowl which has the zombies from What If!

Tom Cruise looks to be playing 'Superior Ironman' which will ruin the film for me, as happens when Tom Cruise is in anything.

Back to the Eternals. Kids came back from Uni the other weekend. We slammed Margaritas by the bucket load then put it on. Can confirm it’s a lot less shit when you’re drunk and can’t remember watching it.

Its for kids.

It was always for kids. But when the kids grew up there was a guaranteed fanbase ready to exploit for new content on new platforms. So now its for everyone

Finally got round to watching spider man no way home last night really enjoyed it ended up seeing small spoilers over time so most of it wasn’t a surprise like it would have been if I had seen it on release but still enjoyed it. Really need to see doctor strange 2 when it is released and not 3 months later 😂

I'm a little intrigued about Morbius as well with all the Spiderman Easter eggs. Another film which seems to have been forever delayed but should be out at the end of the month.

Yeah I didn’t think I would be that bothered about watching that but seen the trailer for it and wouldn’t mind going to see that as well now. Plus the stuff coming to like moon knight which Is out soon as well quite a few things to try and see

Loved Morbius in the comics.

Hopefully Sony can do him right, but It won’t surprise me if they don’t

I didn’t read the comics and didn’t even really realise it was marvel to start with that’s why wasn’t to fussed if I would watch it but after seeing the trailer for it I now want to 😂 .

I don't really get the hype to be honest- vampires even anti heroes ones are nothing new.  Think Blade,Angel, Spike etc.

I'll admit my view is partially clouded by over-saturation of Marvel films/universe.   It do feel like they are bringing in B-list heroes now but my point above still stands either way.

Morbius came waaay before Angel/Spike.

Blade was only partially a vampire, and actually chased after Morbius in a few of the comics I remember.

Just to be clear - this is a Sony movie, not part of the far superior MCU.

as for B list heroes - Guardians of The Galaxy was B list.

Honestly, so was Iron Man.

So, Marvel has proven they can take an unknown and make it a household name.

I meant as in live media instead of comics.   Even Underworld arrived first.   Blade counted and be grateful I haven't bought Twilight in this.  😂

I'll concede Sony and GOTG points but I digress re Iron Man-  is he not part of original Avengers and played an integral part in Civil War in the comics?

You are correct about Iron Man, but he really wasn’t known outside comic fandom.

A listers would have been known on a wider scale.  Like Spider-Man, Hulk, Cap, Batman, Superman, XMen.

and for the record, I’m starting to hear disappointing things about Morbius.  Oh well.

Watched The Batman last night. Thought it was a well shot film with a great score, wonderfully dark and brooding.

A couple of dodgy scenes balanced with some great comic book style scenes.

Finished watching all the X-Men films. Never really appealed to me in the past but when I knew Professor X was going to appear in Dr Strange 2, I thought I'd go through the marathon.

I'm actually really impressed and was quite drawn in. I think the character development within the stories is possibly even better than what we've generally seen in the MCU films.

There's also a lot of unanswered questions between Days of Future Past and Logan. I wonder if this will ever be revisited.
